Can we talk about how good this song is? I've always liked George Michael and the typical hits like Careless Whisper, Father Figure, Everything She Wants, etc, but I just recently gave the entirety of "Faith" a listen and this song in particular blew me away. (Vocals begin at 1:15-ish) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdIMU6Y-uEk
Any recommendations for music coming in january for my 2019 only playlist?
shameless self-plug but i've got a post-rock EP coming out on the first
Its finally done? Sick!
dunno if this was mentioned earlier in the month but ty segall's in a new band with his wife on vocals, called the c.i.a. they released their self-titled debut today and it's a ripper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcbQRF0dG5s
I'm a big rock/metal guy - Up from Blind Guardian down to whatever the ungodly fuck P.H.O.B.O.S. is (no relation) - but I really like this particular song from GONG "Rejoice!" https://youtu.be/o51xxU97ul4 Is there anything else like this?
Parts of the song remind me of Battles a bit

losing my fucking mind here. is anyone familiar with offliberty? lets you download stuff from youtube. it barely works anymore. ever since rapidshare ate shit i've been down to one reliable source for music, and it's a good one but youtube's - topic database of music is insane. what's even more insane is how they're monetizing songs that are old enough to be in the public domain. it's fucked. does anyone know a non-HIV positive source for downloading mp3 files from youtube? the lockdown these companies have put on music in the last 5 years is so disheartening. the internet is actually so much shitter for sharing music than it has ever been.
So I took my mom to see Brian Wilson and we had a surprisingly fun time. He and the band mostly did Christmas songs but them playing Wouldn't It Be Nice, Sloop John B, and God Only Knows was enough to keep me happy throughout the entire performance. Brian didn't perform too bad either, but he's showing his age and looking at him is kind of depressing. But the backing band was able to keep the energy to keep the crowd cheering. Overall, the concert was oddly charming. youtube-dl
https://b.catgirlsare.sexy/QEk0.png it's not long now...
i saw him too a couple years back.. he was better than expected due to age/health but for later era brian it makes me happy he was able to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UbNwhm2EX8
Wish id be able to see brian wilson. I was thinking about what i thought the best album of all time is ( in the aeroplane over the sea), pet sounds is easily in my top 5.
black'n'roll is officially my shit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBnHSJlmQFI
vince staples and jpegmafia are playing in my city in march, hella hyped. tix are cheap too, only $35
dang hmv are going bankrupt.. i didn't go there often but i loved to scroll through new records when i had a chance. it was actually weird to flick through so many sealed albums. but at the end of the day.. i could get the records cheaper online. I still did buy every time i went in though, it's just that physical feeling of a record it makes you want to buy it on impulse rather than on a screen you can spend ages contemplating..
whoa what? man i loved walking through hmv just to browse records
earl sweatshirt's new album is incredible.

Infected Mushroom released a new album this year (not that remix one), and I just found out about it. I think it's a good album and there's a song which I don't remember the name that has a kid saying "they're aliens!" It's called Head of NASA and the 2 Amish Boys https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn6RIwXiFQ0&t=2370s
Is it that I like this song out of Nostalgia and bias for the band or is it an alright song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6bGRep5R2g
what does it matter? if you like the song, you like the song and that's what ultimately counts at the end of the day
It can be both. I will keep saying it's the best album of the year.
While I agree, it does matter a little because I have no one else I know to give a real opinion or interest in what I'm listening to.
honestly if given enough time with the album i would probably say the same, the joy formidable have truly come back in full color. AAARTH is so damn great. on another note im really falling for thee oh sees as of late after listening to mutilator, floating coffin, and carrion crawler. so heres more oh sees posting for these absolutely gnarly glorious bastards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LK5SYwgVxgQ
