Anyone got some good electro swing recommendations? I got Robot Face on vinyl a while ago and fell in love but it's not a genre I'm particularly familiar with
i used to be fairly huge into electro swing (caravan palace and parov stelar at least) but a good place to start is definitely with caravan palace's other two albums, which lean more on the swing side of things. robot face is really damn good but i think their discography overall is worth checking out. im not particularly familiar with parov stelar's full albums but he does lean more on the trip hop/nu jazz side of the fence at times, with swing elements. these two parov stelar tracks should put you on the right track and i'll be damned if you haven't heard this one:
"catgroove"
and a personal favorite: "all night"
if you want something a bit more on the playful/sexy side alice francis is also pleasant: "shoot him down"
also caro emerald isn't straight electro swing but i think you should know about her at least: "that man"
hope this is enough to get you started. i'm p. excited for some new caravan palace (hopefully) next year tho.
