What was your name from previous FP, @Ashtiel ? I don't remember anyone posting stuff like this besides me before the move to newpunch.
@coup VietRooster2
okay good to know I have absolutely no clue who you are
ok i just saw roger waters and almost got killed by an inflateable pig. is this normal???
Bought tickets for Parquet Courts and Idles. Death Grips tickets arrived in the mail yesterday. So hyped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGm3wsCJEUw New Blawan slaps.
i got my dg tickets too holy fuck I'm excited anyway I found this from a GTA online trailer of all things but I love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgpeZehATH4 anyone know anything similar?
Early Justice stuff sounds pretty similar to this but honestly, the soundtracks to "The Journey" in GTA IV, and "Radio Mirror Park" and "Worldwide FM" in GTA V are packed with stuff like this. The band JUNGLE has a similar vibe to this but their songs have vocals and whatnot.
https://youtu.be/frG63Lyime8 I am in love with this song
about all cigarettes after sex's stuff is good for is a mood. that said i think rhye better accomplishes that mood with (usually) less head-scratching lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JG03LvWb3kQ
i always wondered why vampire weekend were called vampire weekend as it was such an odd name for the type of music they play. he name of the group was in reference to an unreleased indie film of the same name that Ezra and his friends produced during a vacation. In the film, Ezra portrayed protagonist, Walcott, a man hell-bent on escaping Cape Cod as he believed vampires were coming. Many songs from the bands eponymous release made reference to the film. this makes their first album make a lot more sense, wonder if koenig is ever planning on making this movie now that hes doing film and shit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZgcpteu4R4 Really loving this album. They also have some really eyebrow-raising older tracks too I've noticed, like in a completely different genre. Really happy with this find.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWku6kzJA80 i'm getting some sophie vibes from this video
I mean, SOPHIE and Iglooghost have always been pretty similar. Both incredible artists that are really innovating electronic music right now in a really poppy direction and I love it.
the new deafheaven album has given me life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5eQuhBfDE0
Man I wish more notable artists came to Miami, but I guess Florida's shape makes touring through here a pain. I think the only notable artists coming here in the next few months are David Byrne (fucking awesome) and Father John Misty.
They come in cycles. I went to the NIN/Soundgarden/Death Grips show when DG bailed (goddamnit) and there are tons of other great artists touring down here, but they don't come all seasons I've noticed. Also, look at the whole south Florida area if you don't mind driving a bit. Not many non-pop artists go to Miami generally.
new deafheaven album is beautiful but glint's intro sounds like a metal cover of a track from clannad's ost and i cannot unhear this

I just saw Steely Dan perform last night. The Doobie Brothers opened, Steely Dan played half of Aja, and Donald Fagan looked drunk on stage. Best concert of my life.
fantano validating my dislike of the new deafheaven album god bless
"10 other metal albums deafheaven fans should check out" by consequence of sound, figured this might be of interest to some here also something rather excellent/kind of terrifying, here's couch slut https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjQGdcY-7I8&t=9s
