New thee oh sees record is out listen to that shit it’s a bop and a half.
I went and saw Jeff Rosenstock last night and it was pretty crazy. Venue was pretty small (dyi aesthetic and all) so I got sucked into the mosh pit once he started singing "USA" and accidentally managed get on the very front for half of the show. Dude got out a sax at one point. After the show, I manged to shake his hand, talk to him a bit, and he complimented my Go Hibiki shirt. Jeff is a such a chill person
You know you love a band when you start listening to certain live versions of songs more than the studio version.
Last night I watched some of their Pitchfork Fest performance and it was great. I only watched performances of songs from the new album though.
new STREET SECTS album out october 26th https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=visholplU94
OH HELL YES I really hope they learn from their Rat Jacket EP, I fucking loved it. That track sounds a lot more crisp and guitars can actually be heard more prominently than End Position, so I assume they did.
Mixing actual guitars in the sound improves it so much too imho. This is what rock musicians should be doing to move forward with the genre, but instead its an industrial artist innovating that happens to sound like rock Rock desperately needs new sound and we can't just leave it all to Jack White or the Voidz.
Post punk revival revival
Throw some industrial and new wave in there and we got a deal
post-polka trap rap will surely rebirth rock n roll
the only future for rock is for it to return to its jazz roots by replacing the lead guitar with an alto sax
why didn't i listen to this sooner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tIVVEIdu2g
the seacats are retiring their self-titled 2013 album. each member has been uploading a video to their facebook page going into detail how that album ruined their lives https://www.facebook.com/seacatsband/ make sure you check out their livestream on august 24th where they will be playing songs from the album, such as "firewood", "minus world" and of course "wrecked" (at least 3 times maybe?) live before deleting it off their bandcamp page FOR GOOD.
this fucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRqWv8QNu04
What's the song/artist that plays around 4:18. I will sexually rock the world of anyone who helps me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYF3uNNWtho
I was real late to Death Cab for Cutie as well. Transatlanticism is such an excellent album and I'm kicking myself for not listening to it sooner.

hey all, am sad to make this post. We will not be playing Vanfest. evidence of sexual misconduct by a person involved with the fest has come to light, and that has made it so we cannot in good conscience play the show. we were very excited to play, as we have done a lot of preparation because we always do something big for vanfest. but there are things that are a lot more important than music and art, and holding people accountable for harm done is more important. show is off, dunno if they are going to do a livestream from home or elsewhere. they did do a sweet ass xmas stream a couple years ago so hopefully they do something like that.
fuck me, jpegmafia's Veteran is fucking sick
I'm not too crazy about his lyrics, but his production is amazing. Especially once you realize he does everything by himself.
seacats livestream just started, get in here https://www.facebook.com/pg/seacatsband/videos/?ref=page_internal

new idles is wonderful. worthy companion piece to Brutalism. also i haven't listened to Bon Iver in a while and this new material is kinda fuckin me up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWbeSS8G_wY
I just saw Death Grips live and it was the time of my fucking life, they've clearly improven from earlier shit I've seen on youtube.
Did they play anything off YOTS? I can't even imagine how Black Paint must of been live if they played that.
https://open.spotify.com/track/64wdPpi4OeCQF4W2oMZ9Wt?si=C99rEKMkTN2TVgGOEoPTGg Bizzare
Yep they played black paint, crowd went fucking wild, I'm not sure what was more intense them playing that one song or the drop after the intro to beware.
