I've actually sat through Return of the Living dead 4 and 5. Two of the worst films I've ever seen. Both movies literally have the same cast, and yet the 5th movie has all of the characters act surprised that zombies appear despite all of them being in the 4th movie.
The first move is a classic. Saw it for the first time a couple of years ago (After growing up with the Romero Movies since I was a kid); and was really surprised to find the bleakness and the unrelenting nature of the zombies in Return and it was really scary. Was great to hear them talk about the film and enjoying the same stuff. Like all the ideas of being able to survive in a zombie apocalypse are just thrown out the window. Might as well just cremate yourself so you don't end up being a zombie.

I also watched RotLD as a kid. The tar man scared the absolute shit out of me.
And I don't agree with what Freddie said about Night of the Living Dead being too tame by modern standards, I also watched that as a kid in the early 00's and it gave me nightmares for weeks.
