I don't like the fact that you brought this up because now I can't think of a straight answer.
Thor was the first Avenger to come into existence because he was born about a thousand years ago.
Cap was the first Avenger to save the planet and interact with proto-SHIELD.
Carol was the first Avenger to give Fury the idea for, well, the Avengers. (Granted, she isn't an Avenger yet but she'll likely accept the title in Endgame.)
Tony was the first Avenger to join the initiative, because I think Fury got to him before Cap defrosted.
After all that, I just want to keep it simple and say there isn't necessarily a "first" Avenger despite what Captain America 1's title says.
FUCK
Are Mike and Jay psychic?

Who knows. I certainly never will.
Here's a Twitter video of it!

I want to go back to not knowing
Because they look at it from the perspective of normal people who like films instead of polarised politically tribal weirdos.
That disguise effect 30 seconds in.
JEEEEESUS, that looks bad.
I agree, but at the same time I do appreciate the use of actual puppets in the movie. At the very least that will make me give the film a little bit of respect. Plus I also enjoy seeing a good old fashioned Critter ball.
That looks like complete shit even for a sequel to schlocky eighties comedy-horror. Everyone is that Funny or Die/SNL style gooning mugging moron who is way too aware they're in a dogshit movie.
Nothing kills something for me than self-awareness. "Look guys, we're aware at how terrible this thing we're making is, aren't we funny."
It's like people are unaware that what makes people love something like this is either it's rough around the edges, or tried and failed terribly, making something so-bad-its-good.
As a big Citters fan, I agree with both of these sentiments at the same time. The new web series looks like complete shit compared to Critters 1 & 2...BUT I appreciate the bare minimum amount of work that went into making actual puppets and the appearance of the Critter ball is something at least. It looks more entertaining than 3 & 4 anyway. I just got the Blu-Ray collection (The price is constantly fluctuating on Amazon) recently and attempting to re-watch those two movies they're so fucking boring. There's no way New Binge can be worse unless it kills me.

Too bad we'll never see Critters 5: Critters Bite Back.

An absolutely incredible film, only The Favourite and First Reformed topped it in 2018 imo.
I wonder how many people heard Jay call Suspiria his favorite film of 2018 and immediately felt an intense desire to crucify him.
It was definitely up there as one of the best of 2018 though
Okay, so because my internet shit the bed yesterday, I got to watching some movies I'd been meaning to. Suspiria was one of them.
I...didn't really like it that much. Mostly because it just seems obsessed with its style. I can almost hear Argento going 'eh, see what I did there' with everything and it gets very annoying very fast.

They must need more money like some kind of hack frauds. I’ll controbute!
Holy shit, 700 new patrons in the six hours since that video went up.
Did they remove the bit that shows $ per month from their Patreon? It was at like 27K last time I checked.
Yeah earlier this year I believe. I became a patron back on Christmas and the total amount they received was still displayed and was close to that amount. Jay made a post on their Patreon page but didn't really make it clear why they changed it to private aside from that there were benefits to doing it both ways.
