I've honest to god seen reviews that say Mila Jovovitch is the best part of it.
They fucked up BAD when they took that series away from Guillermo.
I got a trailer for the new Hellboy when I went to see Us and based on what I saw there, if Mila Jovovitch is the best part of it?
Jesus, you have fucked up.
Everyone turns in stellar work, inlcuding Javulva-vvitch, the script is a literal 11 year old with action figures taping ala:
super super SUPER spoilers, no seriously giant fucking spoilers:
Literal Campbellian Wizard offers The Macguffin, Hero says oh no I'll turn into Darth Vader, Literal Campbellian Wizard dies and so does Campbellian Mentor because Hero refuses Macguffin. Literally two minutes later hero picks up Macguffin and uses it for exactly 2 seconds to end the movie.
Someone asked them on Patreon, they said they won't because they don't care,
Remember when people were upset about some of the plot holes in Hellboy 2? Like Hellboy's girlfriend having the ability to destroy the macguffin the whole movie, and never using it until the end? Man, those were the days. We could abide with that shit because the movies overall were such a joy, as most everything made by Del Toro is.
God I hope we see Mike dress up as Palpatine again.
I had a totally absurd train of thought the other day; what if Disney reached out to Mike to do some voice work for Palpatine in Episode 9, specifically so they could get on RLM's good side the way they have with so many other YouTubers?
Obviously it's conspiracy-level crazy and never gonna happen, but it did get me thinking. I mean, it's not like the Plinkett Reviews are some niche, underground thing when it comes to the ongoing conversation surrounding Star Wars. I'd be shocked if most of the higher-ups at Lucasfilm hadn't seen at least one of the reviews, especially considering how TFA was put together (with some elements feeling like they used the Reviews as a guidebook on how to avoid feeling like the prequels). Every time there's a debate about some stupid nerd shit, especially Star Wars, Mike and Jay and Rich appear like the wizard at the end of The Sorcerer's Apprentice, delivering the FINAL verdict in such a well-rounded way that the discussion slowly dies off soon after. Their analsis of TLJ came out just over half a year ago and it's currently sitting at just under 3 million views, at least one of which was likely Rian Johnson himself.
Knowing how hard Disney micromanages in terms of viral advertising and use of social media platforms, I wouldn't be shocked if it turned out they had some kind of Plinkett Contingency to use RLM's status within the Star Wars fandom to their own advantage.
Thing is, such decisions would need to go through suits and suits don't care.
RLM doesn't strike me as a group that would be prone to bribery like that.
Probably not gonna happen for the actual movies. Like, Matt "Chad Vader" Sloan has gone on to officially voice Darth in a lot of games/shorts/direct-to-video things but for Rogue One they went back to James Earl Jones.

I know they don't do reaction videos, but I'd pay good money to see them react to that fucking Palpatine laugh. Less out-of-left-field things have happened on episodes of Best of the Worst that resulted in Rich Evans literally flipping a table. Trailer reaction vids are cancer, but the popoff would have been great, I bet.
pretty sure there's been a "rich evans watching the new star wars trailer" for most of these modern star wars movies
Oh boy, can't wait for Star Wars: Rise of the Cobra Surfer
PALPATINE'S BEHIND IT ALL!
nerd crew when
theyre probably filming it now
The only I want RLM involved in the Star Wars movies is if Mike uses his Plinkett voice.

I hope the new movie tanks so badly, so awfully terrible; that they go running back to del Toro. I know it won't happen, but I want to dream because I still want that third movie.
Unfortunately, what they'll actually decide is that Hellboy isn't a marketable property and just not worth trying to do anything with.
this is the only ad I have seen for the new hellboy, no wonder it wont sell

Considering it was Mike Mignola himself trying to push del Toro out so he had more creative control, they only have themselves to blame.
Ever see that Henry Rollins movie He Never Died?
It's the best Hellboy movie.

There should be a 24 hour stream of Mr. Plinkett just naming shitty movies. After the first 20 minutes it becomes like lofi beats in terms of relaxing.
Hey, that's my copy of Evil Ed! Still in its shrink wrap!
That's a good sign, right?
