I hate that i'll probably never see slayer live, there are no upcoming dates here. I cant seem to find any indication that the tour had any stops down here or not either.

Shameless self plug: the speed metal/crossover/thrash/whatever band I play in is finally putting out a proper release.

I guess Slayer recently announced that they are adding a whole second leg to this tour. Which means they're extending their final tour into next year. Not sure if they announced any actual dates or locations yet, but I know they are going to start focusing on the rest of the world. That being said, I'm sure they will announce a few more US dates before heading to the other side of the planet. Hopefully you get lucky and they play somewhere closer to you.

The Black Dahlia Murder's tour schedule is seven shades of fucked and just proof this world is not fair. We get two stops since Nightbringers, one of them as an opener for Cannibal Corpse (woop dee doo) and one at the afterparty for a festival with a not-so-great line-up.
Meanwhile, Australia has them headlining along with motherfucking Aborted, Japan has them headlining with motherfucking Cattle Decapitation and they also did a tour with Whitechapel and Fleshgod Apocalypse.
I am not really enthusiastic for most of the stuff produced by the recent wave of thrash metal bands but I must say this song is decent. Just shared it with a couple of my friends.
Saw Deep Purple and mothafuckin' Judas Priest a couple nights ago and it was fucking awesome
JP had a great set list and it was cool to see that sick denim trench coat/vest thing covered in patches that Rob was posting pics of a few months back(I can't find any right now). They also played a song from Painkiller (the title track) which I was excited about because they didn't play anything from that album the first time I saw them back in 2014. My gf and I were making fun of all the older people that were there. There were a ton of Dads there trying to relive their glory days and a bunch of moms just standing around looking bored. At least until they played Living After Midnight at which point a fucking sea of middle aged white women stood up in unison and started dancing. Also, Jesus fucking christ, the number of times I either overheard or had someone say to my face about how they "saw Priest back in nineteen seventy/eighty something". My girlfriend was joking that if the beer wasn't so expensive we could have made a drinking game out of it. I mean don't get me wrong, it was actually pretty cool to have random 50 year old dudes that I don't know walk up to me and shake my hand and shit. They would tell me how I reminded 'em of themselves when they were younger just because I knew the lyrics and was headbanging and shit like I would at any other show.
Deep Purple were pretty damn good. Ian Gillan is still a pretty good singer, but man he CANNOT hit those high notes anymore. I mean he still tried to sing the high notes which is cool and he still sounds great when he isn't trying to go high, but I have completely given up on seeing them play Child In Time live. That shit is just not going to happen. Still, I'm glad that I finally got to see them. If you went back in time and told 14 year old me that I would get to see Deep Purple (particularly Ian Gillan) in the flesh I wouldn't have believed you.
Reminds me of when I saw Descendents a while ago. The age range in the audience was basically 18-50 and the pit wasn't much different either, it was so fucking cool.
First time actually using a metronome.
Never thought I had to with Black Metal (Non-conformity and all that)
This however is just a simple Metal Instrumental

Woah! I didn't even knew they were back and recording.
yeah when I heard that they were touring back in 2015, i began speculating that they would do something. Its amazing seeing a band so enduring manage to not sound dated.
Got to see Mastodon, BFMV and QotSA about two weeks ago in Tokyo. It was my first music festival at Summer Sonic but I just stayed in the one hall they were playing... at least pop rock and at best Mastodon. There are a surprising nunber of Japanese metalheads, I had absolutely no idea before coming there. I figure it may have been the fact that it was the one concert with a decent set of Western metal(ish) bands in Tokyo that brought them all out, but it was cool nonetheless. I hadn't been able to really mosh before, and it was pretty small, but was fun regardless.
Anyone else in Japan here? Would be cool to meet up with someone who knows the scene, I know its out there.
Saw DRI this past Tuesday and it was fucking sick! It has been a while since I've moshed that much at a show. Usually don't have the energy after working all day, but I moshed at least a little bit for every single song. Got shake Kurt Brecht's(vocals) hand at the end. Also jumped up on stage after they were done and snagged a set list.

Just found this album, somehow never heard of it even though I've been super into doom metal for years now. I didn't think I could find something that left me feeling colder and lonelier than Mirror Reaper, but this is one of the most depressing albums I've heard in a while.

I'm watching Batushka this wednesday. I've read that their live shows this tour have been sub par, but I'm excited nonetheless.

Digging the new Anaal Nathrakh. They're coming to the Netherlands next month and Forward alone is enough to make me wanna go because I can't imagine that sounding any less grandiose live.
The new Behemoth album is fucking fantastic. Can't wait for my copy on vinyl to arrive.
The new Gama Bomb is so good. It's great to hear Philly's highs again.
Anyone know of any bands that make stuff that sounds similar to 3:10 in this song? I don't even have a clue what you would call this genre-wise.
