Lots of talking in Kimetsu no Yaiba but... i'm liking the direction.
Netflix Ultraman uses gratuitous amounts of out of place smoke effects. At least not every scene is complete framerate atrocity.
I disagree, the framerate was low but it wasn't THAT low. It was your standard CGI anime framerate at least for the first fight scene and then after that (episode 3+) it's not nearly as bad running somewhere above 24.
So I watched Madoka Magica..
YOOOO
Fucking fuck WHAT
Y O O O O
This fucking ENDING
people kept telling me to watch that because it was so subversive! then i watched it and it was like was that it? for real? i think the people who are like 'yooo' just don't watch anything dark at all or something. seeing something go from happy and whimsical to horrible and dark is the most normal thing ever, it's the set up to every horror movie ever, the only difference being that madoka doesn't exactly advertise it, but you know it's going to happen through osmosis and everybody talking about it anyway. idk i just thought it was super tame and i don't get the big reactions to it
another unsolicited rusty opinion probably
*pushes up glasses*
Uh excuse me, you just can't comprehend the true genius of Madoka Magica.
i dont really care about something being subversive or whatever. i just think it's good.
I was getting through my backlog and was finally watching Seitokai Yakuindomo
I didn't realize this scene was from an actual anime and not just an elaborate ruse.

Literally opening scene in season 2.(obviously minus the 9/11)
This is why I watch anime.
I knew about the twist it'd take to a more darker anime before I started watching it.
I'm not talking about the twist
I'm talking about THE ENDING that last episode.
That's what's "YOOOO"
Holy shit, One put out a new chapter.
RobiHachi is bad. And annoying. But I totally did not fucking expect the "twist" in the first episode and it kind of makes me want to see what the fuck else is going to happen in the show.
Now watch the movie.
So I wasn't expecting Fruits Basket of all things to be getting a remake, I don't keep up on anime news at all. First episode of the new series is pretty good and seems to be faithful to both the manga and the original anime from what I can remember.
The best thing about this remake is that we'll get an actual ending this time around since the manga has been done for over a decade whereas when the original series aired the story was not even half done and so we got an anime original ending.
I'm liking it. I got like halfway through the original before I dropped it but I think I'll get more attached this time around. It's definitely a lot more visually appealing and while I'm not quite sold on Honda's VA I think it'll work out.
Yup, visually this blows the the original out of the water.
Aren't the movies just a recap with less stuff?
First 2, and apparently they have extra footage. Rebellion continues the story.
first ep of fruits basket was good, but it aint gonna beat the old op
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9DRKPKeQkc
Ritsuko Okazaki is perfect
s2e1 action scenes aint anywhere near as good as s1 obviously, but it's still really damn good animation just sayin
opm ofc
OPM feels different, but it's far from the QUALITY everyone was anticipating. Genuinely entertaining, hopefully it doesn't shit the bed later on.
Also Isekai Quartet is so fucking weird but hey, more Konosuba and co.
Yeah, they were pretty great. Cool pixel art for the ED, but I wish they subbed the OP since there was a shit ton of dialogue that was probably funny.
i just want another season of silver spoon and for the manga to start up again

I was just watching Shield Hero and out of nowhere, my roommate asks
"Do you think Filo has a Cloaca?"
I just... why would you ask that? It would've cost 0 dollars to not say those words.
On a side note, OPM S2 EP1 wasn't bad. Action was decent, and the animation was only terrible in the beginning.
im sure he was just joking haha it would be nice to know though haha
another thing i am wondering is what do you think the cloaca smell like haha im just curious for laughs haha i would like to smell it.
kimetsu no yaiba is a definite watch for me from its first episode.
Group called PAS just released the first episode
There is a group purportedly doing it but I've literally never heard of them so I'd be apprehensive about it. Netflix still hasn't actually said anything about the non-Japanese regional releases so we don't know if they're actually holding it til the end (or halfway through, given it's two cour) for everywhere else or only for the US (why they single out the US for that is beyond me).
I've watched through the entire Ghost Stories dub with a friend, and we both adored it. They're not so much into anime, but with how the dubbers had free reign so long as they stuck to story, had us in stitches. I gotta know, are there any other anime that do this? I don't think there'd be much. I feel like the closest stuff would perhaps be things like Hellsing Abridged.
