I just made My sister and her husband watch the show with me. They liked it, but now I've fallen into the same pitfall of obsession with the series that I keep falling into every now and then. Thankfully I'm really picky with what kind of merchandise I'd get, so I haven't gone full weebo yet.
it's the best anime cgi i've ever seen so there's that
fantastic show and one of my all time favorites, the manga is p great as well
I have yet to see it, but it looks promising enough. Im ecstatic when I heard a dub was coming out to!

not terrible as far as dubs go
why on earth would you prefer dubs to sub
Just finished Welcome to the N.H.K., goddamn shit got heavy in the last few episodes. And I fucking loved the soundtrack, it conveys the perfect mood. Excellent/10.

oh my God the poor cat
aw man, i watched one or two episodes and got quite a bit bored due to its slow pacing, might have to give it another go
It did take me write a while to get through it, but once I was past episode 8 or so I started binging it.
Im just to lazy to read subs, my ignorance is much too strong than my taste for quality voice acting.
Weird pull, but I think the BoBoBo dub is superior to the sub.
I generally watch dubs because i don't give a fuck. A mediocre dub has never ruined an anime. The anime itself having problems is going to ruin the whole experience before any dub would.
A good dub is not going to make something bad better or even more tolerable.
sometimes dubs make the anime bad by translating the plot incorrectly though
Dubs aren't all bad, some anime are better with dubs imo.
Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Space Dandy, BoBoBo. There's some others but I can't think of them.
Actually Trigun might be rose-tinted goggles but I still love the dub.
Don't forget Dragon Ball, tho that also might be another rose-tinted glasses situation.

It is... I had to switch to subs on Dragonball early on when there was this godawful pair of people trying to pull the most obnoxious British (?) / posh accent, it was completely unlistenable. Switched to subs and a lot of the dialogue seems much more true to the characters. Same with DBZ, I love Chris Sabat and all but the writing and pacing is so much better with subs.
Ah I see, so it is the superior version. 👌
Not to mention that Phos is voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa; the queen of adorable noises. See also Kumiko from Hibike Euphonium.

I'm not saying that converting her character to English is impossible, but the bar has been set pretty darn high.
this is the quintessential dub

idk, Dagashi Kashi is pretty garbo but I still watched all of it just cause the dub was so much better than I thought it'd be
Some shows I just couldn't fathom watching with an English dub. Like in Jojo, I know they got capable voice actors and all, but there is just no substitute for Japanese VAs shouting English band names as they fight each other. Plus, when watching subtitles, even though the "official" avenues like to change names to things like "Arts and Crafts" you can still hear the character yelling KURAFUTO WAAKU. The truth can't shine through if you're watching a dub.
Girls und Panzer has a frustrating dub.
Subs pretty much have taught me to speed read, or read through peripheral vision.
I've been reading subs as long as I remember. Living in a non-english speaking country has it's bonuses.
I like watching both the original audio and dubs since I like to hear different performances of the same material. It's neat.
English in left ear and Japanaese in right ear, or the other way around?
Reading subs is like a 1% focus thing for me, I've not once ever felt like I've missed something or even not had my full attention on the video itself by reading subs. The idea of reading subs being so demanding that you can't keep up with the visuals of the show is an utterly foreign concept for me so I find it impossible to relate to "reading is so hard, dubs are easier" justifications.
Even then, most anime don't have any action going on while subs are on screen.
Moe potatoes in apocalyptic despair was such a good show.

Also was a total treat to go back and re-read the manga while listening to the show's OST.
