Rewatched the opening to Climax recently and it prompted me to make this thread.

Easily one of the most technically impressive and mind blowing shots I've ever seen in a movie. And the shot keeps going for another 5 minutes after the dance sequence ends to let you linger in the party from person to person.
Climax is the best movie of 2018 and I seriously hope more people see it because I haven't been this floored by a film in years.
I'll take the easy pick

Nothing better than six straight minutes of two dudes beating the shit out of each other in an alleyway.
lets just get this one out of the way

If someone knows a better fight scene I'd genuinely like to see it.

Came here to post just that. Man, I love that scene. Both one of the most exciting and also technically impressive fight scenes I've ever seen. Kingsman's action in general is great, but the church scene is a league of its own.

i love this scene's direction and technical prowess. it just works so well. the shot toward the end where the camera spins distracts you from the left side of the screen amplifying the surprise. it's a great build to the climax it sets up early. and of course with context there's the sting of hearing a fantastic song turned into a soulless surfer rock anthem that adds to the strength of the scene
phantom of the paradise is underrated imo

Benicio del Toro puts up a goooooooood show.
It still boggles my mind that the studio tried to cut this scene out.

The decapitated head scene from hereditary was an audio visual masterpiece of sheer terror. Imagine not only loosing a relative but in such a gruesome manner is unimaginable.

I remember seeing this in the theater with my mouth agape the whole time.
It was the moment I realized that I had no idea where the story was gonna go and I was just sitting there in awe of the direction and acting.

With St. Patrick's Day recently I was reminded of the ending to The Boondock Saints. Spoilers if you've never seen it before. The emotional thrill from this scene is palpable. Weather you agree with the message of this movie or not, you can't deny this is a memorable scene.

Not saying it is the best scene ever, but definitely my favourite. The build up of a trilogy being unleashed in a very emotional fight. It definitely holds a very warm spot in my heart.
