I know you mentioned it and [Black Panther co-screenwriter] Joe Robert Cole was working on it. Do you have any idea what kind of story that would have been? No. We kicked it around a bit. There was definitely going to be a lot of tension between his job as a military man and his allegiances to the code that he swore an oath to uphold, versus the changing world. I think they probably would have run afoul of each other a little bit, but I don’t know if he would have been a straight fugitive, or if he would have become decommissioned. But there was definitely going to be some tension between those two worlds.

Put Warmachine in the Falcon & Wintersoldier thing.

Black Widows hair is what throws me off with all these trailers, getting the time-frame is near impossible with it changing every scene.

Not exactly Marvel related, but I watched Shazam and that was one of the corniest movies I've ever watched. Strange that it's rated 90%

The corn is exactly why. It's a fun, well-made movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, but it also doesn't do the ironic "haha this comic book stuff sure is stupid haha we're in on the joke haha" stuff that you sometimes get with MCU movies. It's just an earnest superhero adventure with some really excellent characterization for the main protagonist and villain, some strong and likeable performances, and a solid script. I'd honestly be totally cool if "cheesy but genuine" became DC's go-to formula, in the vein of the Raimi Spider-Man movies. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the MCU has something to learn from this DC movie, because I feel like the only directors in the MCU who really know how to blend goofy comedy and heartfelt drama as a means of elevating their film as a whole are James Gunn and maybe Jon Favreau. Even Thor Ragnarok, for as funny as it was, suffered from a bit of tonal whiplash here and there.

I thought it was corny in the worst ways. And the acting was nearing cringeworthy imo

Oh jeez, this is gonna make the wait so freaking brutal. I'm not interested in reading spoilers, but can someone who did a peek give us some vague impressions [marked as such in advance of using spoiler tags], and maybe a X/10 rating of how good you predict the movie will be if the rest of the movie seems to be as good as the leaked footage evidently is?

Don't know about the other stuff i saw as it was very choppy and cut together with no real context unless you've seen worded leaks so i can't judge, but the last half of the video i saw and the details that we're shown there. 10/10 . It's basically what people have been waiting for since avengers after credits scene and who've read the infinity gauntlet comic arc. Don't let it be spoiled for ya That's all i'm going to say about it.

Thanks, much appreciated! I was dumb enough to have read legit spoilers for Infinity War on Reddit shortly before it was in theaters because I thought they were fake (was reading them for amusement), so I hope to not repeat that mistake with this movie too.

Yeah no, trust me on this one. Don't watch it and stay far away from everywhere save the first reactions for the theater experience. It's gonna be fucking wild
