in endgame where ant man asks if anyone studied quantum mechanics and black widow says "only to make conversation," this wasn't a quip. she wanted to talk to bruce banner more
anyone else feel that the hulk's change is partly because they can't write that character? like he just is suddenly there kind of like Beast from Xmen instead of hulk/bannor
why would anyone who never had an encounter with him before recognize him, that doesn't make any sense
As someone previously said, it would be akin to running into Joseph Goebbels.
Given the way it all plays out I assume they just wanted to have a visually distinct character. Treating banner and the Hulk as two different characters works for big action scenes but when all he is capable of is blind rage (like we see in the stark tower lobby) there isn't really a place for him. In a lot of ways the hulk is the antithesis of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. One is a man of logic who is powerless to help people in a fight like the avengers face in these movies while the hulk is so powerful that in many cases all he can do is hurt people and destroy. By fusing the two parts the weaknesses of either become far less than what is gained. The arc of the character and its role fulfilled in this movie makes him far more valuable to the team. Before they would just set him lose like an attack dog only to cause just as much damage to allies (Like in Ultron)
To be fair, the actual story of dr. Jeckle is actually just about being freed of any inhibitions, its hollywood that decided that the potion also made him roided out. the character in the story just gets ugly and sadistic. I think its a good direction where they're going so they can bring him into more movies but it just seems like he's killed the hulk part of himself and has no anger at all which is not how his character has been the entire time.
That was me and I just wanted to clarify that post was mainly for laughs. While I genuinely didn't know whether or not he was a known figure in history, I figured there'd be a myriad of reasons why they didn't recognise him. It's just a really amusing thought that a WW2 war criminal is some spiritual everlasting guardian of an ancient godly relic
There's a half an hour between the Hulk Snap and Strange's entrance, and Strange is betting on the Ancient One trusting that his potential was reached. Everyone coming in off of Scry Ports is filmic shorthand for Strange Divination Association Rescue. The Asgardians had time to grab all their gear, the Wakandans had time to reorganize snapped and unsnapped people into their old groups. Lol, no. Thanos is a Titan and the fact he doesn't have or do a lot of the stuff the Heroes do is because where he comes from they are babby's 1st POwaR MacRo. Not only does he not bat an eye at time travel, he formulates a plan using it against the heroes literally on the spot, he doesn't bat an eye at the quantum realm, and in the first film he admonishes Strange for not doing more with what he has. The only time you see him go WTF is Wanda, who literally has the power to warp reality on a mass scale, and he still has a contingency there as well.
learned today that our theater had the highest ticket sales in the circuit for the chain we're a part of. ~10,000 tickets. we've been pulling 12 hour shifts thursday, friday, and saturday. most likely be 12 hour shifts for the rest of the week too.
Apparently it's difficult to grasp that the Time stone could be used to manipulate events after the stone's destruction. We literally saw the stones taken from the past to use in the future and yet Strange using the stone to contact people in the future is farfetched.
Thanos is just a really good general and a skilled fighter but he was definitely not stronger than Thor or Strange, and martial arts shouldn't be able to save ones self from 360 degrees of laser fire. The titans were just an alien race, a powerful one, physically strong one, but they don't possess superpowers, they don't possess magic, they're just all basically big smart hulks with very good guns and swords
Uh, yeah yeah they do. Titans are offshoot of Eternals, basically the guys doing the superhero thing before superhero was a word.
that's in the comics, just because he can wield individual infinity stones doesn't make him as unkillable as he is.
I think IW Thor could've killed Thanos.
Except Eternals is the next cosmic entry after the aotg rollover, so it's not just the comics
Nah, it was great. Professor Hulk is right from the comics. And remember, there was a five year time skip in the movie, and Bruce explained how he managed to finally get control of his anger.
Reddit doesn't think so, i'm being downvoted because people can't grasp the concept.
Why did 2012 Hulk dutifully take the stairs instead of just jumping out a window? It seems out of character for him to do something so tedious; especially when he hates it. Biggest plothole, IMO
I fell off the MCU hype quite a bit after the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, but fuck me Endgame still hit me really hard. What a fucking great culmination of a decades worth of movies. I really loved all the time travel stuff. I really like it in movies when they show you stuff that happened in the past from different perspectives.
Trying not to screw up his newfound friendship with the rest of the Avengers?
I remember one of the Russo brothers mentioning that Thanos is also technically a mutant and that apart from making him purple it also makes him even stronger compared to his race like in the comics, but it's been a while so I could be wrong. Also I guess my excuse for the Axe thing is that he saw how easily the Axe could cleave him in Nebulas memory so he made it his priority to avoid taking damage from that more than what everyone else has, rather get punched in a fight than stabbed or something like that.

Means we don't have to worry about spoiler tags right?
Really enjoyed the movie. There's only one thing I didn't like about it that hasn't been talked about. It's that the amount of hate Quill got in the movie felt a little excessive.
Spiderman Far From Home trailer shows Nick Fury like "good to finally meet you" to Peter Parker, despite the fact they were both at Tony Stark's funeral. I guess they just didn't bump into each other or whatever lol
Hoo boy... there was a twitter account started back in december with a whole bunch of endgame spoilers that are so specific, that the guy has to be an insider. Like Thor becoming fat after killing Thanos early in the movie, and an appearance of human Jarvis from the Agent Carter TV show. Well, this guy also claims to have insider info on the future of the MCU: -Thunderbolt trilogy: Cast (Zemo, Ghost, Justin Hammer, General Ross, and the Abomimation) -Villian is The leader (incredible hulk villian tease) - ms. Marvel and power pack suppose to have films or several seasons on Disney+ still talking about it -The black knight is being considered for a new avenger and have films based around him.
Fury showed up way in the back, probably left before anyone saw him too.
If you give a shit and are like me and have not seen the movie yet, Marvel is starting to put light spoilers in their ads.
It would be a little bit in poor taste to have a business meeting at a funeral
he's also probably grounded for going to another planet without permission. I kind of hope aunt may got dusted so their relationship didn't get all messed up
