Hey min, my name is Korg, this is Miek, we're gonna play this game, wanna watch?
How did all the Asgardians survive if Thanos blew up their ship
Not to worry, we are still flying half a ship.
Finally got to see the film. I'm still unpacking my thoughts about it, how considerate of the film to make me softly weep to myself on the drive home all because of a line about eating cheeseburgers.
I'm honestly not one to find relationships with kids in movies too emotional, but the "I love you 3000" line murdered me
"Proof that Tony Stark has a heart" was what got me real good.
Finally got around to seeing Endgame for myself this afternoon. Overall, I really enjoyed it, it's a love letter to the fans and the universe they've established for all these years with plenty of neat callbacks and echos. I did feel like it dragged on for a bit near the beginning; the plot was moving, but it felt like it was moving slowly (but I did enjoy seeing the fallout of the snap and how people were reacting to it). Nevertheless, it was building to an enjoyable and satisfying crescendo for the rest of the film. I don't think it was as good as Infinity War, but it does some neat things revisiting the established universe. Just a few miscellaneous things I liked and disliked: + Carol Danvers with short hair, I like the look even though I'm not really impressed with the character thus far (possibly implied relationship between her and Rhodey when reporting to Natasha) + The only times I seem to like Black Widow is when the Russos are at the helm. + The Ancient One shown during the Battle of New York and in general (More Tilda Swinton is always a plus for me). + Thor with the Guardians + Tony, Cap, and Thor making up for lost time (father, Peggy, mother, respectively). + Tony as a dad and Pepper in armor. + Clint and Natasha's platonic love for one another. + Cap passing on his shield + Hiroyuki Sanada cameo -- Thor Lebowski. I didn't like that him being a broken and demoralized person was mostly played for laughs.
You're not gonna like agotg, then.
Thor Lebowski getting out of shape when he used to be the pinnacle of fitness is played for laughs. His crippling depression, however, ISN'T. Plus he gets to be an actual stout viking at the end anyway, with a braided beard and everything.
I prefer Viking to chiseled Thor
I guess Bucky is seriously unimpressed not being captain america, even though he smiled, wonder why he didn't decide to go back in time wit him? except they give it to falcon, not like I hate him or anything.
Brought up around Infinity War, but if you listened closely, you could hear that most of them had made it to the escape pods
I hear this a lot, but never when it's just dudes on the screen... weird
Personally, I disliked that. It felt super repetitive.

Didn't read the article, but apparently it's going to be a different Ghost Rider, not the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. one, hopefully it's still going to be Robbie Reyes.

UPDATE: Shortly after the announcement of Marvel and Hulu’s live-action Ghost Rider series, Deadline confirmed that Gabriel Luna would be reprising his role as the titular flaming skull antihero. Luna portrayed the character in ABC’s Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Yay http://collider.com/spider-man-producer-amy-pascal-universal-deal/
Variety lied to me Variety has learned exclusively that Luna will star in the recently announced Hulu live-action series based on the comic book character. This will mark the second time that Luna has played Ghost Rider, previously appearing as the character in the ABC-Marvel series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” However, sources stress that this will be a completely new iteration of the character in no way connected to the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” storyline
After Nat's death : [Implied Spoilers]
Good. If you don't know, Amy Pascal is fucking crazy. And I'm not just going "oh she makes weird decisions" no she's fucking insane, like grade A disconnected from reality.
iirc an interview confirmed that an extended sequence was cut from the start of infinity war, and that showed half of the asgardians getting to escape pods before thanos destroyed the ship. this was their confirmation that valkyrie didn't die at the start of infinity war.
I wonder if, when he did the snap, an additional 50% of Asgard perished, shrinking their total numbers even more or if planets Thanos had already devastated were spared from the snap. Ironically, it would mean planets that Thanos attacked before IW are worse off, because they didn't get "their half" back.
50% of the remaining Asgardians return from the snap, are in the middle of outer space somewhere, die. Whoops.
Well, idk because that assumes that there are fixed points in space to begin with
Wouldn't their ships still be out there though?
Considering that Strange was able to see all potential outcomes, he might have been able to arrange it that those who were snapped in midair or in open space to be transported as quickly as possible to safe zones. Given Marvel logic when it comes to things like this, it seems to be the likeliest of conclusions.
I'm very hopeful this means we get like, an actual Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider, as opposed to Robbie Reyes pretending to be Johnny Blaze.
Woha! Dark Universe is gonna be the next MCU now!
