Marvel Cinematic Universe thread: Another thread bites the dust

what really solidified this for me was when Wanda said "You took everything from me" and Thanos said "I dont even know who you are". It was kinda played off for laughs but it was a perfect encapsulation of what was so frustrating about this movie for me.
To me that line was meant to bring up the fact that Thanos is so shortsighted in his actions that he doesn't care about the true ramifications of his actions
I thought it was because that Thanos was from 2014 and that encounter was literally the first time that Thanos met Wanda.
That's fair, he did say it in the original avengers too, though. This wasn't the first time it was said in the MCU to my knowledge.
And, in all fairness, I think "Avengers Assemble" has a functional purpose to literally have the Avengers assemble in the comics. The Avengers were already assembled in Endgame, so when Cap said it, it was technically fanservice. Things like Caps shield and Iron Mans armor obviously have a functional purpose just beyond their referential nature.
He's never said it until now, its been teased a lot though
Yeah sure, but the reason they included the exchange was for the reason I said I think
Huh, that actually surprises me. I could've sword he said it at one point. Thanks for the correction.
He almost says it at the end of Ultron but they cut it before he does.

It took two weeks to reach $2b. Depending on much Detective Pikachu slows it down, it will pass Avatar this weekend.

This may be dumb, but I've always loved the family themes in the MCU. So I decided to make a video dedicated to it.

I hope Ebony Maw survived being blown into space in Infinity War. Dude was such an interesting character. Shame he didn't do much in Endgame.
nah he's dead
He's ultra fucking mega dead but I still want to see more schemey/telekinetic/evil wizard type villains in the future. Like, someone who is AGGRESSIVELY not a physical threat when it comes to punching or blasting or whatever.
The Leader would be perfect for this and I would absolutely adore it if the next Avengers movie was basically an adaptation of that Gamma World episode of Avengers EMH. Banner is in a really interesting place characterwise and, while they can't make any Hulk standalone movies, they could absolutely make an Avengers movie where Hulk happens to be the main character. The MCU needs new and interesting ideas moving forward, why not?
They're already setting Karl Mordo up as a major villain for the Doctor Strange sequel
Also, take it with a grain of salt, but rumor has it Beta Ray Bill is 100% confirmed for Guardians 3.
thats another one of my issues with both infinity war and endgame. how the 4 big bad dudes are nothing more than throwaways who might as well not have any abilities or anything unique at all. just generic guys with like 6 lines of dialogue all together. such a waste of interesting characters, just like thanos in endgame.
and getting 0 development from him was frustrating. just a purple dude who's sword reminded me of sentinel prime from transformers dark of the moon
His head is in Ragnarok as one of the statues on the palace, and he was originally planned to make a cameo in it, but they cut out Beta Ray Bill during the revisions due to reasons. They didn't want to introduce too many new characters.
Seeing Fortnite get Avengers stuff makes me wish we had an official multiplayer game. Like Battlefront but with Marvel.
Any type of decent Marvel game based off the MCU would be pretty cool.
there's still that Square Enix game that hasn't been revealed, I'm sure it'll show up at E3
Can someone tell me what was left after the cheeseburger line at stark's funeral. The theater told us to get out because there was a tornado.
If he survived then he was snapped by Tony.
Tom says it at the beginning, but to make it clear: SPOILER WARNING FOR ENDGAME

So the title Far From Home is because Beck is far from his own universe?
I thought I had Far From Home pretty figured out, but Mysterio being from an alternate universe has me intrigued again.
Fury is 100% Chameleon, him and Mysterio teaming up to fuck with Spidey by lying to him about Mysterio coming from an alternate universe.
That... actually makes sense. Damn, now I have to see it just to see if that's true.
Is this how they keep the original cast of say xmen, and deadpool but have them in the MCU, just in a different "universe"
Far From Home:
I sure hope they plan on making MJ less of an unlikable near-parody of her archetype if they're going to push her as the love interest.
Mysterio's costume looks great. Can't wait for it to be used on maybe one or two occasions totally up to 15 minutes of film.
