Marvel Cinematic Universe thread: Another thread bites the dust

While I agree that there's no reason they should have buried her or done something right after she died, it was really out of place that they literally did nothing other than talk about her after she died.
I agree with the points about how black widow was a good character from the beginning and the series sort of did her injustice from Age of Ultron onwards, and that Hawkeye should have been the one to die because I feel like he has less potential as a character. I kind if rolled over a lot of the shit like "hawkeye is racist" and "the directors were sexist". I think I've just become numb to that shit.
Tag that, please.
numb to spoilers too I see
As if Hawkeye ever had it better at any point in the MCU
yes.
I mean, way I see it they had a job to do. They had a tiny bit of downtime after the time heist and considering she sacrificed herself for the good of the mission, one could argue them taking the time to properly mourn her before undoing the snap is exactly what she WOULDN'T have wanted them to do.
Not to mention how, if they waited any longer to undo the snap, they wouldn't have done it before 2014 Nebula brought the cavalry through the time portal, meaning Thanos would've completely carpetbombed the compound and beat the shit out of the remaining Avengers without any of the portals opening up and evening the odds.
Like, yeah, it would've been a lovely gesture to hold some kind of ceremony beyond their brief venting session on the dock, but they had a job to do.
Double posting for the people who haven't seen it yet, Marvel is putting clips up on their Youtube channel now. It's nothing huge at the moment (it's within the first 45 minutes), but something to keep an eye on if you haven't gotten to see it yet.
One of the clips has footage from the final battle.

Bruh people died on the Titanic
imagine 100 years from now James Cameron the Third posted a picture of Captain Marvel flying thru the Twin Towers
Kinda similar when George Lucas had an artpiece done when Titanic overtook Star Wars.

how do you fuck that up that badly
oh god imagine sitting there, and Tom Holland popping up saying "yo, heads up, this WILL spoil endgame" and not really being able to scramble your way out in time

Oh man I hopethis is leading to a Captain Britain movie. He's pretty core to Marvels multiverse lore.
It might also just be an alternate suit design that is an homage to him.
That's actually pretty fucking funny since it can just be Tom Holland speaking in his normal accent
I'd be fine with a cool dude mysterio
I'd be fine if it was some other villain, but Mysterio's whole thing is literally "he's a charlatan who uses special effects to make everyone believe he's an alien wizard". Actually making him an alien wizard (at least from the get-go) just completely misses what makes the character interesting and cool. Like, if you're not gonna use what makes Mysterio cool, why even use Mysterio in the first place?
I'm not opposed to tweaking the source material (like I said, I really like the Mandarin twist, and all the changes James Gunn and co. made to characters like Ego and the Guardians worked out brilliantly), but just saying "everyone's expecting the twist to be that Mysterio is a bad guy pretending to be a hero, but the twist is he really is a hero!" is some Rian Johnson logic. Something isn't inherently of quality just because it subverts audience expectations or deviates from the source material.
Moreso what I mean is I'd like a Mordo like thing, where he's cool for this movie alone
Endgame:
apparently (he may have been joking) Tom Holland was told the Funeral scene was a wedding before shooting. Also everyone was there, no one was added in post.
Everyone was told it was "the wedding" that's what it's name was on the call sheet for secrecy
I'd be okay with that if it means we getting Sinister Six for the next one.
I saw elsewhere where he said that he saw that only two people weren't there for the "marriage" scene (Scarlett Johansson and RDJ), so he was trying to figure if they were the ones getting married and how that made any sense.
