How long do you reckon until we get a Galactus and Annihilus tease?
Annihilus will probably be in Endgame
Probably not for a while. Much of Phase 4 is already planned out.
Any reason in particular?
I think they'd be stupid not to tease a former Fox property in the post-credits, they need to build hype after Endgame and that's going to be very hard to do unless they slap Galactus/Fantastic 4/X-Men/Wolverine on the table.
Fiege said that he didn't want to think too far ahead with the (then) Fox owned properties until the deal was a done deed. So, I wouldn't count on any XMen/F4 teasers in Endgame. They will just now start to plan for the eventual incorporation of F4/XMen in later movies if I understood Fiege's statements right.
I agree, however the deal was only just finalised. With Endgame coming out in less than a month it seems like it might be cutting it just a little close.
It's unfortunate if this is true (it might not be, Feige wouldn't just come out and admit they're in Endgame) because Marvel really do need to strike while the iron is hot. I've seen every MCU film in the cinema thusfar and I think, unless they announce something huge like a former Fox property, I'm only going to keep watching Spider-Man films going forward. It's the culmination of 10 years of story, my favourite characters that I'm really invested in are definitely going to either die or retire after Endgame. I do like the nu-gen of heroes too, but it just won't be the same without the OG characters imo. I feel like a lot of the casual audience will feel the same.
You're right, however the Sony deal happened nearly a year before Civil War. I guess its a question of if Marvel could make any content using Fox licences to use after the deal prior to it going through. I'm in two minds about it though, on the one hand it'll be cool to see it going straight to the next big thing, but on the other a break from big bad's to build up the all the new additions to the MCU would be nice.
The same reason Thanos is in Avengers.
SO WHAT ABOUT DR. DOOM
I'd be willing to wager it's more likely we'll get a tease related to one of the future MCU movies they've already been planning for (e.g. Eternals, GOTG 3 etc) than one for characters they legally will not have been able to do anything with before now. (especially since we're talking about a major event film that's only a month away from releasing by this point, everything about Endgame will have been finalised long before the Fox deal went through.)
The deal has only just been finalised yeah, but obviously Feige and other Disney/Marvel bigwigs have known about it for ages now, they'd have definitely drawn up differing plans depending on if the deal went through or not. I can see a post-credit tease after Endgame being part of that plan, they could seriously film a short scene and add it to the film a week before release if they really wanted to.
they filmed the shwarma restaurant scene a week before avengers 1 came out. they're buying patrick stewart a private plane ticket to the studio right now
Yeah sorry I dunno where I got the night before from. Marvel would be absolutely insane not to include a Fox property stinger because there is absolutely no reason not to do it.
They may have already filmed something and just waited on the fox deal to decide on whether to include it
I think that may violate copyright law and Disney could get into deep shit for doing it before the deal was finalised. The time between now and release is plenty of time to get a scene filmed and added.
I don't think it violates copywright to film something, just to distribute it/profit from it

Spiderman had absolutely no purpose in the story whatsoever, I would hardly call his exclusion a "different version ready to go".
Man that banner is really weird to look at. We got deadpool and the shape of water associated with disney now This has got to be some surreal dream right now.
Completely disagree, he served as a demonstration of Tony's connection to his morals and his desire for holding onto the avengers as a team. He also served to show Tony's desperation, and the growing world of people affected by the avengers' influence
Well I mean they did have two differing versions of Civil War though dude? In the one we didn't get, Sharon Carter would have a much bigger role and would fight alongside Cap at the airport, Ant-Man would have been with Tony (Tony meets Scott at Cassie's football match instead of meeting Peter in his apartment) and Wasp would have been introduced in this film on Cap's side, making Scott's betrayal even worse and makes Hank and Hope's attitude towards Scott in AMATW more understandable. Spider-Man was not just a bit part, he changed big parts of the final film.
As far as the overall arc of the movie goes it really just changes who takes part in that one airport fight. It's more like a couple of alternate scenes rather than a whole different version of the movie but I think that is just getting caught up in semantics.
Another thing to add is that bits of the version we didn't see definitely made it into the film. Ant-Man's bizarre reference to orange slices makes more sense in the version where he's with Tony, because orange slices are apparently a common snack after children's football games in the USA.
pretty sure that's just general knowledge rather than directly referencing the fact he was at a kids football game
I mean, I've seen many people online express confusion over this line. I didn't know what it meant until I saw someone explain it on Reddit.
I think it's probably just a shit joke
If they do have a new reference in Endgame, I have a feeling it'll be exclusively FF related. I would not be surprised if something behind the scenes happened after Fan4stic bombed and Marvel secretly had some or all of the FF rights back even before the merger. I mean, after all, we had the Skrulls in Captain Marvel, which previously they were in a sticky and complicated rights grey area. And with Annihilation having been a big deal recent storyline, I really can see them introducing Annihilus to go along with their obvious increased focus on cosmic MCU.
