I like that tender moment where Nebula and Rocket hold hands
Based on some descriptions I've read, it sounds like the special look goes further than I want to see before I actually see the movie, so I guess I'm done watching promo stuff before Endgame actually comes out.
Why would he bring them back? Thanos doesn't seem the type to let someone live for spite.
To teach them a lesson i suppose? Same reason he didn't just make Tony's suit fall apart the way he made Drax fall apart.
It definitely provides a slightly more detailed look at where the movie is headed, so I would avoid it if your intention is to go in relatively blind. (That said, I'm not disappointed that I watched it and still can't guess what will happen in 90% of the movie.
There is one significant spoiler for one character in there. But you can't really tell at what point it occurs in the film. I'm talking about Tony Stark getting to Earth.
I always thought that was more of a "journey, not the destination" thing. I thought it was a foregone conclusion that he would make it back to Earth, but the intrigue lies in how he and Nebula get there.
They told the story of Tony getting back through the trailers, so the trailers are basically part of the movie.
Virtually certain this is all from the first 40 minutes of so of the movie. Carol is not enough to carry the team and they get super wrecked, cue scott and tony hail mary from hell of death and yeah spoily peeps prolly should not watch
https://amctheatres.com/movies/marvel-studios-22-movie-marathon-59916 59 hours of film. Buckle up.
That's not healthy...
Seems like a good way to never want to see another MCU movie ever again. Also probably go insane during that.
Yeeeah, no. I'd rather just watch endgame. By the time you even got to it, you would be so exhausted and wore out from the previous showings that you wouldn't even be wanting to watch the 3 hours of endgame and actually enjoy it.
I would imagine that the crowd that the marathon would attract would be less than desirable to sit in a theater with for 2.5 days straight.
I'm gonna watch one every day till endgame
That would probably be a better approach then going and doing a marathon in a theater.
i'm watching Endgame on the 30th, so that means if i start on the 9th, I'll watch the last one on the 29th
tickets were a shit show, I thought it wold be big but dam the movie theatres were not prepared
I don't get it. I'm fine waiting a day or two to see it if that means the theater will be much less packed.
is It true what they say about American cinemas being loud, not the film but the people. luckily I’m in the UK so I want it to be as quiet as possible
I’m just gonna rewarch Infinity War sometime beforehand and that’s it. Haven’t seen it since release.
Yeah, no way I would subject myself to that much runtime. If I was the type to want a recap, I'd watch Civil War and Infinity War at most.
I managed to get middle row tickets to see it two days after the premiere. I made it my end goal to watch my favorite and important movies until that date. I know I hardly post here, but I'm super stoked for part deux of what the Marvel movies have built up to for 12 years running. My boy Thanos in full gear finally for the final showdown!
I got lucky and snagged seats for me, my roommate, and his girlfriend. We're a bit close to the screen, but our theater has recliners so it shouldn't hurt our necks too badly. The 24 hours before release are gonna be hell.
Only if there are kids in the audience. Generally, American theaters are fairly quiet, especially after the preview and the actual film begins. Exceptions are comedies, with people laughing, of course.
Got around to watching Captain Marvel. I think it was pretty decent overall, although it was a bit of a mixed bag and has some rough spots. Her performance alone often fell utterly flat with her one-liners, but the cast chemistry helped once they get to Earth and Fury is introduced. I didn't particularly like the cat but As a standalone character I don't think she has any real charisma between her writing and her performance. Maybe it would result in poor pacing but I would have liked to have spent more time on Kree at the start. As it was she basically just gets up, goes to work, and then that's it for Kree for the remainder of the movie, where you could have pushed the angle further. Particularly with the amnesia angle you could have established whether or not she felt at home or out of place on Kree but it's mostly glossed over and she doesn't seem to have strong feelings one way or another about it. And the friend's daughter character's bits never felt natural at all. Both the script and the poor acting really came together to feel like it was reaching for some kind of emotion it didn't have or earn, but I don't know if that's just me being overly critical of that part or not. And the green suit looked better, god damn it.
https://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-avengers-endgame-footage-was-shown-behind-clos/1100-6466032/ Captain Marvel is ready to leave the Avengers facility "to kill Thanos" at the top of the clip. Black Widow wants to work as a team but Captain Marvel has a cocky attitude, claiming Thanos has never faced someone as powerful as her. Captain America realizes "up there" is more her territory but thinks they should work together. She might know people who know where Thanos is but doesn't know him herself. Nebula explains Carol need not bother with a search. She knows where Thanos is. Cut ahead, Nebula goes on about how Thanos made her want to please him, even when she was disassembled, failing, and in pain. His answer to where they would go when his plan was complete would always be "The Garden." A hologram comes up -- Rocket Raccoon shows that two days ago a similar event to the one that occurred on Earth happened on another planet. He used the Stones again. Captain Marvel wants to use the Stones to bring everyone back and undo Thanos snapping his fingers. Black Widow wants to try. Bruce Banner is hesitant. Captain Marvel says "because before you didn't have me" is the reason they failed to defeat Thanos the first time. "Hey, new girl, everybody in this room is about that super hero life, if you don't mind me asking, where the hell were you before all of this?" Rhodes asks Carol. She says she was helping other planets which, unfortunately, didn't have the Avengers. Thor steps to Carol and summons Stormbreaker. She doesn't flinch. "I like this one," Thor says. Cut ahead, again. "Let's go get this son of a bitch," Captain America says. The Endgame logo plays. The Benetar ship is then seen heading into space. All of the Avengers except Tony are onboard. Black Widow, Cap, and Rhodey have never been to space, to Rocket's dismay, requesting none of them throw up in his ship. They approach a jump, Cap watches the vibrant colors go by, and the ship speeds off.
Yes, which is why you shouldn't go to opening screenings here if you want peace and quiet to enjoy the film
Yeah people were fuckin hyped up at the theater I went at the night infinity war came out
Jesus, captain marvel sounds like this films scrappy doo,i really hope she gets her ass kicked in that first fight with thanos and get a humble pie. Could lead to a interesting aftermath arc for her
