It's been said plenty of times before but it deserves being said again: the cast and crew have been doing some of their best work this season, bar none, and they should all be very proud of themselves. The problem with this season is the writing, and the writing alone. Everything else: music, acting, cinematography, direction...it's all been outstanding. But the writing is far and away the worst its ever been, and it might very well tarnish the show's legacy forever which is so. goddamn. depressing. How HBO allowed their tentpole series to go this direction is absolutely beyond me. Did none of their executives look at the show after taking an extra year to make sure it was done right? Sheesh.
How right you are https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/60061345_2217202778397396_4405152431416016896_o.jpg?_nc_cat=111&_nc_ht=scontent-ort2-1.xx&oh=bc7c855df490c2e53326e3212cd98f07&oe=5D586530
When I read that article initially, I thought she was simply talking about being depressed the show was over. After the last couple of episodes...yeah, I'd be depressed to.
I am SO ready for this shitshow.
So I just popped into r/gameofthrones to see what they think and saw this survey (some spoilers included): https://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/comments/bpc20p/spoilers_postepisode_survey_results_s8e5_the/ I love how it's not just a few whiners who are complaining, at this point a huge chunk of the fanbase is massively disappointed in how it's all turning out. Season 8 in a nutshell: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/209687/f2ef0e9b-d556-4ead-8b57-d1df0b8202a4/v22h9h654oy21_cr.png
Since we are voicing our Game of Thrones-telated grievances ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhkMIhe1hqU And mind you, I got to play this before I watched the show proper
