He's the radiological equivalent to those people who survive getting shot 20+ times because somehow the bullets didn't hit anything (too) vital.
He's absolutely fantastic. Admittedly the only other thing I saw him in was Uncle (which I think was a BBC3 show? before the canned the channel anyway, I'm not sure if they carried it on), so I've not got much to base my opinion on but the stark contrast of the characters he's playing goes to show what a great actor he is.
It's amazing they got Bryukhanov to come and perform as himself

Just watched the first two episode back to back, what a fucking great show. Is it just me or does Valery Legasov in the show look a bit like Bubbles from Trailer Park boys?
I'd say evil twin, but it's definitely Bubbles is the evil twin.
god this episode is actually making me feel sick
"the reactor is fucked, ricky" "nonsense comrade bubbles, you just gotta refuckulate the uranus converter. julian, he's relusional take him to the park"

i legit didnt know you could do make up that detailed jesus fuck
Well I've had my quota of body horror this year decade.
Here's the third part to the podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uLpY1TSAwI
I had no idea regarding that backstory about Dyatlov's son, that is brutal. I can see why it wasn't included in the show, but it really helps in explaining his character and general behavior.
Who was the young lad who the camera focused on at the end when the soldier were getting all of the males to help, and again in the next episode sneak peak, I recognise him but can't put my finger on it and imdb doesn't help as it just has the major characters and that's it
The mine boss reminded me of a gritty live action Mario
Mario is uncircumcised confirmed? Great third episode, the political side has been fantastic and believable from the on-site panicked "this is fine" to the Moscow-centric politicking behind spinning the disaster.
Bit of a terrifying episode to be honest. Interesting how body horror/gore gets to you in a different way when it's portrayed in a somber manner like this (as opposed to in your face across a shaky cam)
Radiation is fucking scary. If I was that far gone I'd want to be put down.
I appreciated the dicks. That's half a joke but kinda serious too as it's common for TV and movies to shy away from it but it feels fairer, I suppose. It also makes me feel better about my dick.
The foreman is definitely a grower
There comes a point when there's no way you're going to survive the radiation sickness. If that was me and I got to the point where my skin was melting off I'd just want them to wheel me out the window.

I really want to see this but I got BT and as far as I can tell there isn't a legit way for me to watch it.
Just got done watching the new episode. Jesus the make up people did a good job i really don't want to see the real images, that was enough for me to get the picture of what the radiation does to the human body. Those men didn't deserve any of that.
