i love the atmosphere this song has to it. it's a real shame that this side-project was canceled, with only this and two other songs being released
Just started listening to Connie Converse.
What's particularly interesting about Connie and her career is that she's made only a single album which was released in 2009
... and that she had no involvement in its production.
Thing is, nobody has heard from Connie since August of 1974.
That month, she wrote to her friends and family about starting a new life and just upped and left. Wilder still is that all of the songs on the aforementioned album were recorded in the 50s and had been kept privately up until 2004. The person who reintroduced Connie's music to the world is animator Gene Deitch who, along with Connie's brother Philip, held the only known recordings of her music.
