There's a couple of time based stands in the series, I came up with my own: allows the user to learn new skills, by living through a 2 minute Rocky montage, complete with music :v:
I feel like the finale is slowly approaching. Just four more story lines and it's time to [sp]bite the dust[/sp]
I don't remember the cat being that cute.

the cat is so adorable it instantly lit up my day and reminded me of the scenes to follow, which are all amazing

That actually is a great idea for a stand. One that can learn new special moves every time it's user watches a movie or a TV series. Like I watch Rocky I instantly learn all possible techniques shown in the movie. But it's limited to one at the time. I can't have both boxing techniques from Rocky and Swordmanship from a medieval or samurai movie.
Well, I just finished Part 6, and hoo boy the emotions are running high. JoJo endings are always bittersweet, but this is up there with [sp]Jonathan dying or saying farewell to Kakyoin, Iggy, and Avdol and then seeing Polnareff off. It was a real "but at what cost?" sort of ending, and it was very interesting seeing the 'alternate' versions of the crew. I like how even though they're not the people we spent all of Part 6 with it feels more 'true' than the weird Jotaro and Jolyne that Emporio saw in the prison after the first loop... lots to unpack here. Again I really wish I had some IRL friends who read JoJo so I could discuss all this with them. Ah well[/sp] in any event it's time to listen to Last Train Home on loop and let the feelings flow through me.
So: up next is Part 7 with Pizza Mozzarella and the cripple boy. I don't know much about 7 but I know that everyone loves it and that [sp]it's in an alternate universe but not the Irene universe[/sp]. Giddy up!

I think Jolyne is my third-favorite JoJo
[sp]Isn't it unconfirmed whether or not Part 6's end universe is SBR's universe?[/sp]

(Part 8 spoilers) [sp]IIRC The family tree shown doesn't have Irene in it, and Yoshikage/Josuke is where Jotaro would be.[/sp]

I didn't really like the ending to part 6 [sp] it made me feel like everything before the universe resting did not matter what so ever.
also having Pucci just effortlessly kill everyone was such a kick in the teeth, I thought C-Moon was actually really cool & it was nice having a break from every main villain controling time but then Made in Heaven ruined that because making literary unbeatable destroyed any investment I had in that fight.
It would've been cool if Jolyne or Jotaro managed to unlock another ability that gave them a chance against Pucci, or hell maybe even have Gio somehow make an appearance it would've been interesting to see Puccis reaction
I get why it was done, but Part 6 still could've ended differently without changing part 7 or 8 at all.
Araki could've easily just said Part 7 was a reboot or something[/sp]
Now I'm having trouble getting into Part 7 after how Part 6 ended
Got to watch the episode and [sp]woo boy I finally got to see Josuke's ASB Heart Heat in anime form.[/sp]
It completely made the episode for me at long with Act 3's LET'S KILL DA HO!
Just finished Part 2 and holy fuck that ending was golden.
[sp]Joseph's rant about the Japanese in the airport, kicking a man in the shins, and then walking off while listening to his walkman is absolutely perfect.[/sp]
Pretty excited to get into Part 3, since I keep hearing so much about it.

My perceptions were definitely colored because of the classic [sp]"part 6 resets the universe and everyone dies"[/sp] spoiler that I knew going in.
[sp]I thought the final struggle was interesting because the focus was more on the timing - the ultimate goal was to stop him before he achieved heaven rather than the simple "kill him" of the previous parts. So it almost felt like a holdout to delay the inevitable once Pucci got MIH... although I appreciated how quickly the second cycle (back at Green Street) resolved I do think the conclusion of C-Moon and the intro to Made In Heaven was too abrupt.
And it was weird that Giorno was brought up in one caption box but never mentioned again. Unlike the Rohan joke he actually should/could have been relevant to the plot and it would be cool to have multiple JoJos interacting again.[/sp]
Part 6 Spoilers:[sp]I'll never forget how graphic Pucci's death was. I'm pretty sure that's the most violent way a main villain has died.[/sp]
[sp]And it was weird that Giorno was brought up in one caption box but never mentioned again. Unlike the Rohan joke he actually should/could have been relevant to the plot and it would be cool to have multiple JoJos interacting again.[/sp]
[sp]To be honest, it would have felt like an asspull- Gold Experience Requiem already did feel like that, but at least it was established with the arrow and stuff, and was more of a stroke of luck than anything else. Having him show up and fix things (even if Pucci's "gravity" had him stop by) would really negate (hah) any tension that was there before.
Overall though, I didn't really like the ending to Part 6, but I didn't dislike it either- seeing the villain win, even temporarily, was really cool to see, especially if this was the full plan that Dio developed while alive. The use of his old power against him was also really cool to me, plus as mentioned above it is BRUTAL. I felt really sad after the world reset part, on top of having Jolyne and Jotaro's souls "lost" (though I have a theory that by killing Pucci they were brought back), but if they're overall happier in the new verse I can't complain.[/sp]
Part 1 of the anime really put me off of the show, but part 2 is pretty great
Part 1 of the anime really put me off of the show, but part 2 is pretty great
I'm so glad I kept going, I almost dropped it at the first two episodes of Part 1. It wasn't until [sp]Dio donning the mask[/sp] that I really started getting invested. Part 2 solidified how much I was gonna like JoJo.
Yeah, all the relatively mundane buildup of "Dio is the biggest jerk in the history of ever" really pays off [p1][sp]when he puts on the mask[/sp] and again [after p1][sp]in part 3[/sp]
The first few and last few episodes of phantom blood were great but things slow down way too much in the middle.

there's probably not many people behind but you should say what part spoilers are from
The first few and last few episodes of phantom blood were great but things slow down way too much in the middle.
Really? I felt the opposite. Phantom Blood started slow but as soon as [sp] Dio put on the mask[/sp] , the episodes just flew by until the first time they [sp] "defeated" Dio[/sp], then it built up to the finale.
I had an unused name tag in my TF2 bp for a long time, and I can't believe DiU gave me the inspiration.

I'm thinking of getting another one and naming my sticky launcher「KILLER QUEEN」
for any animeonlies here wondering about that kira shoe scene at the end of this week's episode:
[sp]in the manga he has thought bubbles about how kosaku has bigger feet than he does, so his shoes are too big, but he'll have to change them one-by-one overtime because switching all of them for smaller ones at the same time would be suspicious[/sp]
it's a nice little detail, but the anime not including his inner monologue about it makes it a bit unclear that that's what's happening

That's pretty much what I understood from that moment. Honestly sometimes I feel that there is too much monologue and exposition.

it could've used a bit more emphasis on him putting on the shoe, the cut is pretty quick so it doesn't seem like it's the focus of the scene
some people might still get it, but all the friends i asked about it didn't know what that was about

Considering the next arc/ep is full of said internal monologue, I wouldn't be surprised if they revisit that scene with that added in. Similar to how the dice game was teased at the end of the alien episode, I think David Productions is padding out certain eps with small hints of what's to come.
Kakyoin and Avdol arrived today!

Also really nice figs. The problem is that Kakyoin's hands aren't as well made, so some of them can't really swap on correctly (like the left hand he's supposed to use in this pose) which is a little disappointing. Magician's Red and Hierophant Green are in the mail!
Avdol came with MENACING and ORA ORA ORA sound effect plates, so now DIO is standing menacingly.

I'm not sure if I should focus on getting Polnareff, Joseph and Iggy or Star Platinum and The World next.
Me and my friend were playing the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 open beta and found out one of the male player voices yells MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA when he does the meteor crash move.
I just thought that was a funny thing to share.

Did you happen to catch which number said voice was? Cause if it was 8/13/15, I'm not surprised (those are the voices done by the dragonball z abridged guys)
Can you post a video of that? sounds hilarious
