We brought it upon our selves- twas us, the original fans, who put Roundabout into other pieces of media, which was then turned into a meme. Now, no one will be able to hear Roundabout without thinking of the meme, and it is both a blessing and a curse.
Calling Dio "Trump" is fucking stupid tho

I can't wait in 100 years when everything is considered a meme, every piece of media, every word, every molecule in the universe becomes a meme. Someone reset this universe please.

I'm going to be so pissed off if these people react the same way to this scene.

This is one of the best uses of roundabout.
My favorite is the Tweet that is literally just
Meme
And then hashtags the show.

Even the Sound director was surprised with how well it fit.
According to him, he was initially stumped on how to end episode 6 after the audio climax for Poco's scene and struggled to come up with a natural lead into the ending credits. Then Iwanami listened to the beginning notes of "Roundabout" and was dumbstruck at how well the pacing fit with the episode's cliffhanger without editing. He considers it a strange and happy coincidence.
Do people not realise how old Part 1 actually is
Do they think it's recent or something?
These jokes make it sound like that, fuck

to be fair it wasn't until this year when JoJo finally caught on in the US.

I didn't actually get into it until recently, but hasn't it been starting to catch on since mid-late 2014?
Because wasn't that when Stardust Crusaders first started being simulcasted on Crunchyroll?
So is Hamon not a thing in part 3?

[sp]it shows up for about three seconds in the final fight[/sp]
Ah, I see. Didn't know some of the "censored" names would get that ridiculous.
It's definitely so awful that it's kind of hilarious in it's own right though.
This is kind of weird for me because this is the first time I've read the manga and watched an anime before the dub came out. The only other anime I watched as it aired was Space Dandy, and that had the dub and sub released pretty much simultaneously.
So I know all the characters from their original names (Steely Dan, Crazy Diamond, et al). Plus this isn't like a 4kids situation where they're just romanized (Katsuya Jonouchi to Joey Wheeler), it's just pun dodges to get around copyright. Part 3 hasn't been dubbed yet but I'm pretty sure they'll stick to the subtitle names so it'll feel strange for me when the more popular name is the 'wrong' one.
I don't think parts 1 and 2 had that many musical references (apart from safe ones like REO Speedwagon or ACDC) so it'll be interesting to see what happens in Part 3 when the references start coming hot and heavy.

exposing these people to Jojo was a grave error of judgement

Part 3 was the only one that was easy to get into, the video game was in 1999, the OVA was released dubbed from 2003-2005, the manga was translated in 2005. Apart from that you had to either know Japanese or work off of online scanlations of dubious quality (like the infamous Duwang translation).
The improved, colored scanlations, 2012 anime, and English Jojonium releases (starting with part 1 in 2013) were what finally helped it catch on.

Can you say this without spoilers? I'm on episode 6 :v:

Basically Hamon is still a thing in part 3 but it's way on the back burner. You should have already seen one instance of it, Joseph using it against the brain-bud.
If I remember right there are only like 2 or 3 moments like that in all of part 3. Stands are pretty much the Hot New Thing.
I just finished Stone Ocean
[sp]That ending is fucking sad[/sp]
Toonami was a mistake.
Also, I really liked [sp]Made In Heaven's design. And if I could choose one stand to have in real life, I'd pick Made In Heaven, just for the infinite speed that could let you travel to places instantly :v: just be careful to not speed up time[/sp]
if I could have one stand it'd be Crazy Diamond
just smoked this weed? let me just punch it and bring it back to an unsmoked state. Just ate some delicious pizza but still hungry? let me just punch the crust

Wouldn't really work, especially with the pizza example since it'd just make you regurgitate the pizza to put it back together so it'd be like you never ate it in the first place.
Speaking of Roundabout I find it funny how most of the times it's not even used properly. Like in Jojo the "To be continued" is used whenever the episode has reached it's conclusion. almost never is used on a cliffhanger. [sp] Even on Zeppeli's death you know what's going to happen even if you haven't read the manga.[/sp]
I see so many people using that meme when a guy is about to be punched in the face or something unexpected out of nowhere happens.

so you get to taste it forever, without getting fat? sign me the fuck up

me and friend were literally just talking about this after watching some jojo high lmfao.
Even though Crazy Diamond and Soft & Wet are my favorite stands, if I were to have any stand, it would be Harvest.
The power to just collect things is so useful.
I'd take either Crazy Diamond (practical use) or Yellow Temperance (because i think it's cool).
Fav. stands are Heaven's Door and Soft & Wet tho.
EDIT: Actually, depending on how it works I probably would rather have Khnum, depends on whether or not Yellow Temperance can be put away.
My friend who doesen't know english too well misheard "let the joy of love give you peso" in that new opening song :v:
I just have to say I am very thankful for the song Great Days. As a guy who's been coping with the death of a loved one and constant family distress the past few weeks, I can't begin to state how many times I've listened to it. It just makes me smile; it's such a beautiful song.
I'm so glad I got into Jojo, where there's amazing material. Not to mention meeting some great people, like all of you in here. Stay fresh, jojo thread viewers. You guys are great.

thats half the fun :weeb:
If there's any stand that I can take, I take [sp]Scary Monster. So I can turn everyone into Dinosaurs.[/sp]
