It's actually fucking hard to read the subs when they're saying something so entirely different. It's so god damn awful because I know they're supposed to be Oingo and Boingo, I'm hearing Oingo and Boingo, but I'm reading Zenyatta and Mondatta, and then my brain is trying to go Zenyatta and Mondatta = Oingo and Boingo.
Were their names censored/changed in the original US printing of the Part 3 manga?
I dont mind the changed names that much, especially when they're as good as "boy man man" and "spicy lady"

I don't personally know but if I had to guess I'd say the flamboyant character design coupled with the battle-of-the-week format plus the relatively original concept of a manga about quirky gangsters in an interesting setting. Why do Americans like Part 4? To the Japanese, it's probably not an easy question to answer.
If you look at Japan's favourite parts,which is Part 3 and Part 5 you would notice that they're basically the same thing.

Boy Man Man is genius. Worse Company is also very clever.
Really hyped to see if they're going to fit the start of Enigma in the next episode. Probably my favorite Stand in part 4 and I'm really looking forward to how much Escher-type shit they're going to pull for it.

Yes. It makes no fucking sense. Especially since the characters chant their names over and over again. The subtitles change nothing and I haven no idea why they bothered

They're just playing it safe. If changing the names in the subtitles really changes nothing, then I don't understand why this is such a big issue with some people.

Just finished watching it
It kinda works.
I got a real 21 vibe from today's ep- having four congruent arcs going at the same time is a little confusing, but I totally see why they did so and I think they did their best. I forsee this arc of episodes being about 3 episodes long, then we move onto Friday.
(Sidenote- it took until my girlfriend pointing it out, but Superfly is called that because it's basically a giant steel venus flytrap. How I didn't realize this, I have no idea)
