I'd say watch till Part 4's over then start Part 5. Part 5's the most tragic part in that it doesn't have a complete translation, so holding off means that it'll be closer to being finished.
(I know, I know, TECHNICALLY Part 5 has a complete translation, but the ignition-one scans are such uninformative garbage that you're better off reading the wiki than suffering through that)

Part 5 is like 80% retranslated so you're not missing [I]that[/I] much, I'd argue.
And I know skipping parts is bad but 5 has practically no bearing on 6 so you could even potentially read 4, skip 5, read 6, and then return to 5 when the translation is complete.

I've been thinking lately about something in part 4 that's REALLY been bothering me.

They showed this was possible when he pulled Okuyasu out of Red Hot Chili Pepper's clutches in the ground wire using HIS severed hand so what the fuck.[/sp]

And maybe in the heat of the moment it didn't occur to him, or maybe they wanted to see if he had fled to his house so that they could find out where he lived beforehand (pun intended) and search for more clues.

I'd like to think that [sp]Josuke was arrogant and wanted the hand to lead them to the guy, rather than the other way around- stands are weird, so I think Josuke has that kind of control[/sp]

I asked this to a friend who suggested that [sp]they didn't want to risk getting detonated, but if Jotaro was fast enough to beat the shit out of Kira while critically wounded, he certainly could do it after getting healed by Crazy Diamond[/sp]
You also have to consider that such situations are pretty heated and characters can't come up with such ideas on the fly all the time. I mean yeah, there's a lot of stupid bullshit and ass pulling made by them, but they're still human and can't resolve every situation.

As for leading to his home, they knew his name at that point and could probably find his address after kicking his ass. I honestly think it was totally a plot device thing and not an actual oversight

one of my (many) favorite parts of Part 4 is, at the end, [sp]when Josuke and Kira are fighting, Josuke starts talking shit once he gets the upper hand and basically bullies Killer Queen[/sp]

God damn. Might just be my favorite part yet. Then again, I'm just an absolute sucker for road trip stories, so, there's that.
[sp]I really liked how DIO was such a mystery until the final three episodes.[/sp][sp]It really helps it feel like shit is going down when he actually steps out of his mansion.[/sp]
[sp]The whole twist of Jotaro and DIO having essentially the same Stand was really cool too, especially with him learning how to Time Stop right as the Steam Roller is coming down on him.[/sp]

Now you should watch JJBATAS. It uses the OVA so the story is a little different (and there are a few 2008-era meme jokes that date it) but it's overall really funny and worth a watch.
