Sadly by watching you dub you'll miss out on all the engrish
seriously one of the most iconic bits in Part 1 (and in the entire series) is GOODBYE JOJO plus Joseph's exclamations in Part 3 are ruined
does joseph actually help them find kira in part 4? i remember him last being in the invisible baby part but i don't remember him actually being used him for anything else i'm only caught up to where the anime is so if they use him later i wouldn't know
Sadly by watching you dub you'll miss out on all the engrish
He's also missing out on Takehito Koyasu and Imaruoka Atsushi.
Only 3 more days until Bites the Dust, I haven't looked forward to any moment in Part 4 more than this, especially after Quiet Life.
Finished part two. [sp] RIP Lard ikea. And Caesar salad [/sp]
Just finished part 3, watching part 4 and met psycho hair bitch. I really like Josuke.

I feel like Okuyasu needs way more time in the spotlight. Koichi and Rohan have gotten bits with significant spotlights on them, but Okuyasu is such a god damn fantastic character and the closest we got to a part with him as a center of attention was in Let's Go Out For Italian, and that's still debatable. He's sort of like how I felt about Speedwagon, where he's a great character that's drastically underutilized. It seems that even when he's present for a scene or fight, he's always shoved to the background. I'm wondering if it was done intentionally by Araki after seeing how little focus Part 3 had on Jotaro himself, and more so on the secondary characters instead.

There was the whole arc with the arrow & chili peppers that he was kinda a big part of
Anime only watchers are in for a treat these next few weeks.
Anime only watchers are in for a treat these next few weeks.
I think everyone is. Even the people who know what's going to happen.
Very true. Watching it animated is going to be like experiencing it all over again..and again and again ;)

It's still destructive as hell, where one blow could win most fights. So he's mostly relegated to sidelines. Same shit happened with Avdol in Part 3. Avdol has what is perhaps one of the best stands in the series, battle-wise; most fights in Part 3 would have been cut short if Avdol had simply just burned people to death but he's too much of a nice guy, and he got kinda shafted during Part 3

D-did Josuke just punch spaghetti?
I'm gonna read Purple Haze Feedback and Over Heaven in a cabin over thanksgiving vacation - wish me luck lads.

The spaghetti had it coming
You know, sometimes when I'm thinking about all of the writing mistakes, weird dialogue, plot holes, and various inconsistencies in Jojo, I stop and ask myself "is Jojo actually good?". It's a weird thing to think about, considering I still love Jojo a lot, but I'm aware that it is filled with glaring problems and would never hold up if analyzed critically.
It's good enough to keep me interested to read through all parts. And still want more.
JJBA might not be win a literary award or have some consistency issues, but fuck me if it isn't extremely fun to read and watch.

gotta remember the format of manga probably makes it more difficult to avoid mistakes and stuff that books and so on, when you're dropping something on the regular there's always gonna be changes you want to make etc but you don't have the luxury of stepping back a few chapters and changing a line

Plus, the chapters are now extra long.
Steel Ball Run
Even SBR is a bit shaky sometimes. Too many fights are won using abilities that were just invented on the spot, and some of the dialogue is just... odd. How many times does Valentine talk about taking the first napkin? It doesn't even sound cool, and he says it like 10+ times. Actually, that's another problem I have with Jojo in general; I feel it's a bit overwritten. There are way too many instances of characters pointing out the blatantly obvious or repeating themselves for no reason, which is especially annoying during fights. And yeah, sometimes having a lot of dialogue during a fight is necessary, since things are usually so weird that you'd have no chance of figuring out what's happening without some sort of explanation, but I still feel that there's more than necessary. It's a problem that gets worse in the anime, where the battle dialogue fucks up the pacing and can remove the energy from what should be an intense scene.
