Is it ok if I skip Part 5 and read Part 6 and onwards until Part 5's updated translation is finished? Is there anything in Part 5 that I need to know to enjoy 6, 7 and 8?

You can probably do it, but I do suggest you return when you can.

What's with Part 5 translation anyway? Why is it the only part without proper finished translation? (or at least that's how it seems like, from this thread)

What's wrong with Part 5? Is a translation that hard to find? I have the whole thing translated in my computer from long ago. :s:

At the moment JJCA seems to be the only good one doing English translations with 20-30 chapters left, other languages seem to be fine from what I've heard.

I think most people don't understand the logic behind some Stands. Heavens door can only control the person who is being written on, not stuff that happens to the person itself. Also it has to be something the person itself is able to, like not hurting Rohan but not "can't be Heavens Doored by Rohan". You also can't write "doesn't follow the laws of gravity" on a pig and it suddenly flies away. Because it is not part of the abilities/skills that the pig has.[/sp]

Gotcha. That would explain the confusion. I don't think I ever really paid attention to it switching in quality.

I don't think I ever really paid attention to it switching in quality.[/QUOTE] it's not that noticable, it's not hilariously bad like the infamous Duwang translation for DiU i read the whole thing with the bad translation just fine, but the characters really do lose a lot of their unique personality when they all speak the same "normal" way, plus it can be somewhat confusing when some characters say things that dont really make much sense [t]http://i.imgur.com/INttsmL.png[/t] also note how the old translation awkwardly cuts the first sentence in half between "outside" and "world" while the JJCA translation cuts it at a more natural point

I think the Mega only has finished volumes up, while they upload per chapter through their facebook. They're like halfway through the Oasis/Green Day arc now.

Can't believe next week is the last episode already :( I still remember during the first few episodes stuff like BTD and that felt like a eternity

What/where is the best way to watch JoJo (preferably dubbed because I'm trash)? I've always wanted to try it out, always seemed interesting unlike most other anime.

damn, that episode might've had the best animation in jojo so far, really strong, expressive animation in some moments of the second half
