It's no good if it has Bucciaratti

yup, that's the old Ignition-One translation, you can tell by the bad scans quality and all text being in comic sans
the translation quality is worse as pointed out in the example picture i posted earlier, but even on top of that the editing and scans are dreadful in the Ignition-One version
an example (part 5 spoilers)
the chapter title is just large comic sans, the japanese title, instead of being carefully edited out, is just blocked by a huge white rectangle, cutting out a big chunk of the panel
you can see the split between the pages in the middle, which is something that should never happen with good scans
narancia's speech bubble on the bottom left has the periods going outside the bubble itself
the textbox in the same panel splits the last 2 lines in the middle of the "..." pause, making the final line begin with a period (and the first word of that sentence isn't capitalized)
"Is it one of the boss' henchman?" instead of "Is it one of the boss' henchmen?"
the sentence "What happened?" on the top right isn't captalized
and these are just problems from a single spread i picked by random, the ignition-one scanlations are horrible in all aspects, translation, scans and editing

Yeah, just checked that pannel, it's the same. While it's true the scan quality is shit, I didn't notice the translation thing since the first volumes were fine, my apologies.
so is it better not to read part 5 than to read these shit scans?

no problem, it's a weird situation so unless you've really looked into it it can be somewhat confusing
so is it better not to read part 5 than to read these shit scans?
depends on how bad you want to read part 5
only the last couple of volumes are the bad Ignition-One scans anymore, if you really want to you'll be able to read through it without many problems since you'll get to know the characters and how they act in most of the volumes with the JJCA translation
Ignition-One's last couple of volumes will still get the message across even if they're not very good, so if you really want to read it, you'll be fine
Chances are that by the time I catch up to it, JJCA will be almost entirely done with the translation, as they're relatively close anyways, from what I hear.

Progress on VA is hella slow/irregular though, so I wouldn't put too much money on it.
Isnt JJCA only at volume 59? From what I've heard that's like 75 percent through
Isnt JJCA only at volume 59? From what I've heard that's like 75 percent through
they're about halfway through volume 60, with volume 63 being the final volume for Part 5
I don't know if I got this here or from somewhere else, but here's a pretty good guide on how to read part 5.
Not sure if it's fully up to date on the very latest JJCA scans, but that's usually going to be the one you want to go for when possible. But this guide also links to some of the more critical chapters (like the ending) in color.

I wonder why it recommends skipping Baby face parts 1 and 2 for the JJCA translation and then reverts back to JJCA

It's because the Baby Face parts have been translated in color by Di Molto Co, but that part in JJCA is only in black and white for now.
The Di Molto guys use color scans and the translation is of comparable quality to JJCA, but they work on part 5 somewhat randomly, not in chronological order. So they've done the ending and a couple of the more popular (I guess?) chapters earlier on.
Once JJCA posts a color version of Baby Face, you might as well read that, I'm sure it won't be a major difference.

So the enemy Stand makes people[sp]act like zombies and turns their entire bodies contagious?[/sp]

For a second I thought I was reading something by Junji Ito.
i think the idea with the anime coloration was to push for the "matured kira is his 'perfect' form" aspect in a sense
white is often used as the color of purity, so a white suit and mostly white hair is pushing the idea that this is kira at his ultimate, 'purest' form
Ah that makes sense, they also used his white coloration in ASB as his default, but in EoH he uses his melon colors. Wonder why that isn't consistent.

I'm pretty sure EOH tried to go for some more 'real' colors
Considering that most of the colors ASB used where very bright
[editline]18th December 2016[/editline]
Kosaku's first alt palette is his ASB colors though

last episode promotion out, spoilers ofc
So because part 4 is about to end and I really don't feel like waiting for the anime of part 5 to be released, I've started reading the manga. Granted, I'm reading through part 5 so I can get to part 6 since I want to see part 6 far more than part 5, but damn I'm really loving part 5 more than I thought I would.
And I've gotten to the (in)famous [sp]dance scene[/sp] which pretty much sealed the deal that I would love part 5 as much as I love the rest of jojo.
So... what happens to people killed by Killer Queen? What do regular people see?
So... what happens to people killed by Killer Queen? What do regular people see?
it's never stated in the manga but i'd assume they just see the person crumble into nothing, similar to how the ghosts "pass on" but much, much faster

The truly scary part is that it would be absolutely silent too, [sp]Shigechi died in the school hallway in a massive explosion and noone nearby reacted, not even Josuke and Okuyasu who were just on the other side of the door[/sp]
