Your Stand's power is measured in your ability to jump.

polnareff is such a huge dork I love him
The only question in Jojo I want answered is "why did dio and then jotaro suddenly start flying".
Dio is a vampire. He's always been able to fly.
Stands float anyway I always imagined Jotaro is just using SP to carry him.

Part 9 should be basketball with stands.
Ever since me and my friends read joj, we've occasionally been proposing various things but with stands in them. One of the best ones is Cutthroat Kitchen but with stands
Happy birthday to Joseph Joestar!

No wonder Johnny's stand sucks.

I'm convinced that almost any piece of fiction would be better if it had stands.
Breaking Bad with stands
Back in 2012, The Cyzo Women's Blog (Cyzo Daily News who nailed the Fullmetal Alchemist plans) reported that Jun Matsumoto was in line to lead a live-action adaptation of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - Stardust Crusaders. Then in May, they were saying that rumors are that the project was back, planned for 2018 with Kento Yamazaki (Orange, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, the new Death Note TV drama) as the new candidate for Jotaro Kujo. Now, there's a reason to believe that it might be happening.
This was denied by publisher Shueisha, but, now there's call to reconsider...

At the end of August, Warner Bros. JP register the domain ‘jojo-movie.jp’, which redirects to ‘https://warnerbros.co.jp/movie/jojo/‘ and indicates an announcement could be coming soon.
@jojomovie_jp on Twitter was September 23, 2016.
Cyzo's source said that various troubles brought the previous attempts to a stand still, but, this time, concrete plans for a production are being developed, and barring obstacles from top executives, the adaptation looks likely to happen.
The sources also explained that because JoJo's Part III lacks female characters and is heavily comprised of battles, they were making sure to cast attractive male leads who will appeal, and keeping an eye on the fan reaction.
It's gonna end up just like the rest of the "live action adaptations".
I think part 3 is the best part for a standalone film because it would be easy to cut out a lot of the stand fights.
part 2 movie would be nice though
As a person who read the manga starting from Part 1, I always wonder what it was like for people who started out with 3 - either through the manga (which up until recently was only available in English for part 3) or the OVA (which cut straight to the introduction of Iggy and N'Doul at its first release, until they filled out the first part six years later) and if they were confused about missing things like DIO [sp]and Jonathan's body[/sp], young Jonathan, and so forth.
[editline]27th September 2016[/editline]
being the introduction for Stands does make it a good jumping-on point, though.

The beginning of the originally localized Stardust had a little chapter summarizing Part 1 and 2

How do the Japanese handle live action characters that are supposed to be of European descent if Japanese-speaking Caucasian actors are hard to come by?

They cast Japanese people instead because they don't care. If you're lucky you'll get some hair dye.
[editline]28th September 2016[/editline]
Expect the most Japanese guy they can find to walk in and go HELLO I AM MUHAMMAD AVDOL COMING STRAIGHT TO YOU FROM EGYPT.
I am not worried that my movie plans will be soiled by this development
I'm thinking about going as Kira for halloween (and just telling people I'm David Bowie when they inevitably don't know who that is) but I can't decide on a suit color.

I keep going back and forth between white and purple. Purple is definitely more flashy but it's way harder to track down a decent quality one without having to wait 30 days for it to ship from Asia (likely in a weird size to boot), plus outside of costume parties I doubt I'd wear it much. White can be striking in its own way, I guess.
In any event I bought two Kira ties online because I have no impulse control

Movie "Jojo" 仗助 auditors to Kento Yamazaki, Koichi officers to Ryunosuke Kamiki! Director Takashi Miike
eh, I dont think they can really do DIU unless its like a 3 hour movie
DiU seems like a weird choice since it's by far the least linear (at least, of the parts I've read so far) but I suppose that the fact that it's all in Morioh rather than a road trip could aid in the adaptation.
Don't know anything about the cast or crew but I recognize Takeshi Miike's name.
Part 4 live action before something like part 3
what a world
The [sp]Cinderella[/sp] episode is probably my favorite out of part 4, it's adorable.
[sp]Is it confirmed that Yukako and Koichi get married?[/sp]
I like Takashi Miike
His MPD Psycho and Ichi the Killer adaptations I thought were alright as adaptions go (Ichi the killer is the better of the two)
didn't really care for his adaptation of As the Gods Will (but that just might be me not enjoying the manga).
he also did the yatterman movie and the ace attorney movie. (never saw these)
so who knows how a p4 movie will turn out
It's only adapting chapter one too, so it will probably make for a cleaner adaptation.

If they did Part 3, they would also have to find a way to not make Polnareff have stupid hair, and also not get backlash. :v:
