Has Araki ever discussed the upper limits of Heavens Door? I forget. We know it can allow things to go about physically impossible actions (sending Koichi and Josuke flying back at ludicrous speed), can impart knowledge ([sp]Koichi knowing fluent italian[/sp]), and be used on Rohan himself. If you continue this train of thought, Rohan could turn himself into an unstoppable demigod with a paragraph.

I'm just now realizing how nearly identical every character's voice has been through every voiced iteration, no matter the VA, and it's kinda baffling. I know Araki likes to be involved in almost every single JoJo related project in one way or another, so does he sort of suggest VAs that he wants for a character, or at least give them a sort of guideline for what kind of voice he wants?

There seems to be more respect for voice actors (Seiyu) in Japan, as far as im aware. While it certainly happens often enough here, im pretty sure the practice of permanently retiring characters if their VA dies is more prominent over there too. Might be wrong on that though, just that ive seen many many more examples of western franchises using VAs as disposable commodities than eastern.

I still remember people not liking josukes va because he was different to the guy that voices the games. I really like his anime va though. Josuke in the games sounds like hes about 40

Sometimes the game VAs are really great (like Kira's), and I just really want to see them reprise their roles for the anime. While they didn't manage to do it for Kira, I do feel like they casted him really well and the anime VA made sure to really do the character justice (even though I personally think the game's VA gives him a little more of this extremely creepy vibe).

It's also worth noting that character tropes are a really big factor in anime and manga, and that for audiences a certain voice will always be associated with certain character types. Jotaro's almost always going to have the cool and quiet voice, for example.

i think it's because people don't like when a voice actors change, even more so in Japan than any other country. it's not surprising to see voice actors who keep voicing a specific character in japan even 10 year after, Minami takayama for example voice conan in detective conan since .. well, the first episode.
