Like, it's just [I]wrong[/I] and Killer Queen doesn't look like that in the Manga. It's not an in-joke like Iggy's appearance changing, like maybe Araki drew him like that originally, but nope, they just changed the design for those two episodes for no reason

The Part 4 adaption seemed to have a lot more jank to it than the previous parts, especially coming off Stardust Crusaders, but maybe its just me. All I can guess is that they let a more inexperienced artist in there. Kind of like how Dragon Ball Super's early episodes were horrendous because they let some randos in training have a crack at it. Animation improves later when the veterans take over.

i dont mind the ears, but KQ's eyes are supposed to be Wide and Empty. it's immediately sinister

The part that bothers me the most about Goblin Queen is thinking about how many people had an awful first impression of Killer Queen that wasn't rectified for at least a week, or several depending on if you consider "fixing" it to be the revised introduction in the following episode or when they backpedaled on the design and started drawing it normally.

I mean, Parts 1 and 2 werent as accurate as 3 but that was more or less necessary to make it not look like MC Escher people flexing into battle like inhuman Lovecraftian beasts from beyond the deep. Im sure Part 5 will improve on this though.

All they needed to do was get the animation director for the Ratt episode to do the entire series.

Yeah, Part IV's artstyle doesn't match Araki's in the slightest.
