My Josuke costume from aliexpress finally arrived! Looks amazing, it's custom sized and it was only 60 bucks (The only mistake is that the JOJO logo on the back is mirrored, but honestly it isn't a huge issue) Now i'm gonna find a wig and then i'll rock it at the next comic convention! Btw if someone asks, the logo is printed backwards so i can resemble an Ambulance and keep pesky serial killers away.
What you need to do is make an identical version of it a couple of sizes up, find a really buff guy, and make him go as early Josuke while you can be late Josuke.
Just got back from Katsucon and wanted to share some wholesome pics, I'm the blue Guido with the sex pistol plush. It was a ton of fun and we had a lot of mista shenanigans [t]http://i.imgur.com/EHa90Ho.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/CmhVEE3.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/eJjUDje.jpg[/t] also bonus triple gappy pic, I'm teal: [t]http://i.imgur.com/fFTs2zp.jpg[/t]

Those are some nice costumes. But tbh, if you're gonna go for any half-shirted character, you should look into shaving a bit.
Why haven't you shaved your tumtums!!!!
lmao the Robbie Rotten he actually kind of fits in
Yeah, if you're a male and want to cosplay a character that shows a lot belly/chest you should look into shaving. because honestly nobody wants to see that shit.
I just wore an undershirt for my gappy cuz I couldn't get in well enough shape in time :c Ended up breaking up the color in a really sweet way tho Next con I'm thinking of doing part 5 Jotaro with just a phone and no pants. Which is probably a good call because this summer is going to be fucking hellish. It's already 70 degrees out here in jersey in fucking FEBRUARY. We're usually still having snowstorms at this point!
She's my Daiya <3 [t]http://i.imgur.com/2fBnwN8.jpg[/t]
Correction. You two are adooorable
So apparently Diamond Records is available in Japan. There are ways to play it outside of Japan, but I'm not sure how to right now sadly.
Folks who have been to anime conventions - would you recommend it to someone like me who's only a casual anime fan? I regularly go to comic conventions, but I read a lot of western comics (Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, and more) so I know a lot of the guests and artists, and recognize most of the art and cosplay and such. By comparison, I've only seen about a half-dozen anime shows and haven't seen a lot of movies or read a lot of manga (and I know extremely little Japanese) so despite my love for JoJo et al I'm not sure if it'd be worth my time/money to go to an anime convention... thoughts?
What you need to do is make an identical version of it a couple of sizes up, find a really buff guy, and make him go as early Josuke while you can be late Josuke.
Even better, he should wear a padded muscle suit and gradually remove the padding throughout the day until he's at his natural size by the end of the con.
lmao the Robbie Rotten he actually kind of fits in
Looks more Like Bobbie than Robbie.
I haven't seen all that much anime but I always have a good time when I go to anime conventions. The focus is obviously anime/manga but you can find movie, comic and videogame stuff at them too. I only really go to one convention every year(Anime Milwaukee) so other cons might be different, but I'm not sure.

All though if you've only seen half a dozen doubt it'd really be worth unless you're going with a few friends. Who knows maybe the ones in America are better than the ones in straya land (which I imagine).
Any time I see unshaved Mista cosplays Phillip's masterpiece is all I can think of I wish I could still find the full size image.
I just wore an undershirt for my gappy cuz I couldn't get in well enough shape in time :c
Gappy is fine. But Mista pretty much shows he's entire tummy on he's default suit so is best you just go for a shave. Imagine cosplaying Giorno and having hairy man's chest. That ought of turn some people off.
Imagine cosplaying Giorno and having hairy man's chest. That ought of turn some people off.
Now i'm suddenly picturing Giorno as Gaston from Beauty and the Beast doing his chest hair thing.
Being the Italian man I am I just rolled with it for the Italian aesthetic I heav ily considered shaving it for the costume but I was widely convinced otherwise. Philip Bank's art is inspiring
I'm planning to go to a convention in April and I would love to wear a Jojo costume. Basically ANY character. Anybody know a good place to buy one? I'd make one myself but like every well-known character's costume is too intricate to really do justice, I think. Maybe Joseph from part 2 would be doable, but that's about all I can think of.
Kind of new to the whole JoJo thing. Which series should I start watching first?
Kind of new to the whole JoJo thing. Which series should I start watching first?
Best to start with the series that began in 2012. There's an OVA from the 90s but it starts right in the middle of the story, and would probably be hard to get into for a first-time watcher. The newer one by David Productions actually starts from the beginning and is a lot more thorough. Each season is KIND OF its own independent story, but the later parts (part 3 especially) will reference the earlier parts pretty frequently, so there's no better place to start than the beginning. [sp]READING it is a lot more fun tho :^)[/sp]
Kind of new to the whole JoJo thing. Which series should I start watching first?
Part 1 Phantom Blood. It's relatively short so you shouldn't have much trouble with it, keep in mind though that part 2 is where the show starts to get really good so try to stick around if you don't like part 1 too much.
I wish I could still find the full size image.
ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE.
You are a saint.
When does the "Kakyoin thought to himself" scene happen, again? He has his sunglasses so it's nearer the end of part 3 but I don't remember the context of it. [sp]also googling "kakyoin thought to himself" just comes up with memes and jotaro/kakyoin fics dammit[/sp]

For example, Joseph thinks of Holly, etc.[/SP]
The thread has "moved" into a different section! This must be an enemy stand attack!
