He's not that accurate to the original character, but the face gives me the same creep/killer feel
He has a few wardrobe changes too. Remember this is a handful of chapters told over the course of a feature film. Angelo is probably gonna have a lot more time to come into his own as a character than in the movie / Manga.
Do we know exactly up to what point the movie's gonna cover?
Considering Yukako is on the cast, are they doing half of Part 4 in one movie, and the other half in a second?
I saw some promotional stuff mentioning this movie as a sort of "Part 1" of a series.
So does Stardust Crusaders pick up in season 2? I'm a few episodes in and it really feels like it starting to drag compared to the other seasons.
dont quote me on this but iirc its planned to be a trilogy so realistically its prolly gonna be
first movie = angelo and all the character building arcs
second movie = kira's introduction and probably some other minor villains
third movie = bites the dust arc
SO I was looking at the S&W SAS and I saw it had this head:

When the hell did S&W look like this?

I believe it was one of the chapter covers, but I can't seem to find it right now. I might be wrong though. :pudge:

SDC definitely picks up in season 2. I don't want to say anything inflammatory, but while the first half of Part 3 has some good parts here and there, it's kinda forgettable compared to the Egyptian Gods

Well, someone pointed out that the promo shot of Angelo, is likely actually the guy that he possesses really early on, and not Angelo himself.

He really does look just like him.

They might slightly rewrite the way that arc goes by having him possess that guy for a longer period of time. Maybe [sp]there'll be a twist where you think that guy's the stand user, but then they find the actual Anjuro and kick his ass into a rock[/sp]
I just caught up to where the JJCA translations end on Batato.
What's considered the best translation to use from here on out, considering it'll probably be a while before they finish?
I keep hearing that Di Molto Co. while not great, is considered the best alternative.

What part are you reading? Last I remember, 5 and 8 are the only ones not fully translated and colored.
Should've mentioned that I'm on Part 5.

Di Molto Co is pretty much on the same level of JJCA's quality, but they post chapters somewhat sporadically, not in a specific order. So you'll want to read Di Molto when JJCA isn't available (or isn't available in color), and read Ignition One as a last resort.
I'm not fully up to date on how much JJCA and Di Molto have done, but if they still don't have all of part 5 between the two of them, you might have to fill in the gaps with Ignition One. Both the scans and the translations are lower quality with them, but sometimes they're the only option. But it is at least a full translation, and it's not Duwang quality.
Thanks.
Yeah, I've just gotten to the point of [sp]Green Day and Oasis[/sp] where JJCA cuts off, so I guess I'll just use Di Molto Co from then on.
It's annoying that about 20 chapters or so are Ignition One only.
They aren't unreadable terrible or anything, but compared to JJCA they are awful.
Thankfully the climax and epilogue are in colour.

Dropped VA then and there because of the bad scans, can't wait for JJCA and Di Molto to finish up.

Strange choice, but alright.
Just got quite a few volumes of Part 4, since it's easily my favorite so far and I'd like to collect the physical manga.
It's real nice owning it, even if I can't actually read it, but man, I had no clue how smol actual manga from Japan was.

i mean they DID pick part 4 to start with so we're dealing with crazy people here
I just finished watching the Oingo Boingo bros episode. I really didn't expect what I got, but it was hilarious. Btw does Joseph and his stand get any more screen time in S2 of Stardust Crusaders? It felt like I was seeing a lot more of the others fighting shit than I was of him, or even Jotaro for that matter. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, the others are is pretty fucking cool, and Silver Chariot is one of my favorites. Hell, all of Stardust Crusaders so far has been amazing.

hermit purple gets a couple memorable moments
the thing is its not really a combat focused stand so he doesnt really use it for much outside of what you would use a rope/whip for in a fight. but the parts he does use it in are pretty stupid and great

Maybe very slight spoilers? Probably not really.

Also keep in mind that Araki was very purposefully keeping the focus off Joseph since it's no longer "his" story, so although he gets a few moments to shine (e.g. Bastet) he doesn't do an awful lot.
I just finished part 7 tonight. Planning to spend the next few days finding exactly the right folk song to express all the feelings.
When I got to this part I just wanted to die
