In the interview I've watched he said it was to make it more elegant(or something similar to that) and knowing Araki, I wouldn't be surprised if his answer on it keeps changing

Broke out the Kira outfit again for the comic convention today, and I was really surprised by how big of a hit it was! As soon as I entered the building people were recognizing me, and I kept getting stopped for pictures and selfies. I ran into a Daiya today, but didn't see any other JoJos (although yesterday I saw Diego, Speedwagon, and Josuke and Crazy Diamond). lets take a very colorful and heavily stylized manga and turn it into a live action with gritty desaturated colors WHAT COULD GO WRONG

Everything just looks so fucking dark. Like why even have the nice sun and scenery that they scouted out if you want to crank the colors down that low.

Would rather have the movie be about Stardust Crusaders if I'm honest.

How does Josukes hair even work again? Look at the live action version it appears to be really long bangs gelled upwards and tucked in, and the hair on the inside is just kind of normal but gets longer in the front. But then it also looks like a carpet. Of all the stupid bullshit in JoJo this is one of the things that intrigues me the most.
