Foxic was fucking dreadful. So boring and his pilot and builder seemed really salty.

I'm really impressed by Thor, built by one man and it goes out and performs like that.

If the guy behind Foxic wasn't such a cock they may have stood a better chance, seriously, he looses his first 1v1 and he dose the "I am going to attack the house robots" Thing. Oi, knob head! You are about to fight a robot whose weapon is situated higher than you are, you can literally slide under and knock him over! Seriously!? If you win that you are still in the game!! What a joke.

Thoughts on the second episode: Camerawork was much better. The 4 bot fights were much easier to follow. The fights themselves weren't the best. All the bots seem really underpowered compared to their Battlebots equivalents. The weight limits are nearly identical, so I really don't get how Robot Wars ended up with so few good bots.

Plus given the bots now have to fight multiple times they don't seem to go all out like they used to from fear they may damage themselves (this may also be why the house robots don't seem as aggressive as they used to despite the fact they are upgraded otherwise bots could be eliminated before they have the fullness of their time there).

Hypno-Disk could be coming back for season 2, it's a possibility according to the AMA on reddit. I'd imagine in season 2 there will be a lot more robots being built fkr endurance instead of pure killing power, now that people know about the mini league. That and a lot more spare parts to bring. Its going to be expensive though.

I assume Hypno Disc would get a big redesign if it returned considering that the ability to recover after being flipped is a must and that the standard for armor is so much higher now.

Does anyone feel that the new Robot Wars is a bit like BattleBots? I miss the old arena and Craig Charles

Wooden robot, petrol engine. GG 23 seconds, fantastic

I don't think that was as good as last week but I think we did see some interesting designs. Dantomkia were cunts even if I admired their ability to build the robot.

A lot of the time they're putting it on. They're great friends in real life, they organise pub days and suchlike on the FRA (Fighting Robot Association) forums.

Faces and Heels. Just like wrestling. It's amazing how people don't realize that. Still, pretty decent episode.

I thought it got better in episode 2 but god the editing was a mess. Several cuts were jarring and looked like they skipped parts of the fight for no reason. One case was how 2 bots were fighting right next to Matilda then in the next camera cut they're suddenly both on the other side of the arena. Additionally in the Grand Finals the pit was dropped as soon as the match started and we have no idea who dropped it.

You're right tough there were quite a few noticeable jump cuts in this one, not sure if they felt like they had to include all of the 'talk to the team' bits or there few quite a few lull in some of the battles. Flippers are still my least favorite robots, effective but really, really boring

Tonight, at 8PM GMT, we have Apollo Eruption Kan-Opener PP3D Sabretooth Storm 2 Sweeney Todd Terror Turtle Terror Turtle looks somewhat like somethng out of the early seasons, if you ask me.

£20,000 of robot in storm 2, part of me thinks thats not really in the spirt of the show, but i'll wait and see if it wins or not before i call it unfair. PP3D just got fucking ruined Get fucked dead metal rofl And matilda haha
