Is that relative to that one time Tea was being robbed or something and he went against a wall and did some really unnecesary move?

i was trying to look for that clip on youtube because it has got to be one of the worst fucking things i've ever seen yet in arrow.
Remember that time he took out a mercenary with a flip while three others just kind of stood nearby? It was in that episode where they go to help Argus in Corto Maltese.
Even the goons think it's fucking ridiculous.
I thought I was the only one who found those flips extremely unnecesary and lame.
Same for whenever Ollie does a spinning bow slap or whatever you call it. Does he really need to twirl as if he was dancing? He's a goddamn assassin, he should use some awesome moves. Even "Boomerang Ashur" was more threatning with BOOMERANGS.
No wonder he got his ass handed to himself by [sp]Ra's al Ghul[/sp]. The whole thing was like watching a car skid down a road trying to brake and failing hard.

yeah but boomerang dude made way too many shitty puns
That's certainly one way to have a mid season finale.
Very interested to catch the opener. I believe they just hired a new director and Manu Bennet (Slade/Deathstroke) recently tweeted something about a comeback tied with a picture of slade.
Even though the fight scenes have corny, unnecessary flips and they look extremely scripted I still thoroughly enjoy the show. Especially with a villain like Deathstroke. He's by far the coolest villain, not just in Arrow, in my eyes and Manu Bennet is a great cast for him. I enjoyed his work in Spartacus.

Yeah, the show isn't bad at all. By far.
Although, I feel like it misses some of the stuff Smallville had, like "real people problems", something that The Flash does have, maybe because the cast is made of less "super serious assassins". But that has changed, somewhat.
btw
[sp]was that look Iris gave Barry in the end of the episode a "well helloooo handsome" look?[/sp]
Anyone else disappointed in how they've handled the main storyline thus far in S3? It's just been red herring after red herring with little build-up of Ra's himself. I did like him in the mid-season finale though.
6 of the 9 episodes have been fairly solid and I like what they're doing with some of the main cast so I guess I can't complain too much. But compared to the first halves of the previous two seasons it is definitely the weakest.

Usually the latter half of Arrow's seasons are the best, so I'm not really too worried.

Thank god... would suck if they just canned it

Yeah I have faith in the writers too. They've already set up a lot of interesting stuff for the latter half of the season which I cannot wait to see. I just didn't like how they handled the mystery concerning [sp]Sara's death.[/sp]
Rewatched the first half of S3 again in one sitting which was much more enjoyable then I expected. The pacing in a way felt very similar to that seen in S1.
Oh, and someone made some awesome fanart of what the Atom exosuit might look like.

Brandon Routh as Palmer is great.
On the topic of "Arrow", [sp]Raymond "Ray" Palmer is The Atom II if you didn't know already. Most importantly, Nyssa referred to Oliver and Sara entering the Lazarus Pits; however, I am unsure about Lazarus Pits having the ability to resurrect others but according to Batman's lore they can. Noticeably, R'as is also a frequent user of the pit and uses them to maintain his young appearance and physical strength, however they render him 'more corrupt' and cause him to become addicted to using them (overall, this is the explanation for R'as' age which is presumed to be roughly 200 - 300 years old and his young appearance / outstanding physical strength). Furthermore, users of Lazarus Pits are often given a side-effect of enhanced strength, this will probably aid Oliver in defeating R'as and Merlyn. Unfortunately though, it could also possibly corrupt his mind even by the slightest (or maybe not)[/sp].
And if you haven't noticed already, [sp]Caitlin Snow from "The Flash" is Killer Frost. She also referred to Ronnie and herself as "fire and ice"[/sp].

Holy shit they got those 2
Episode out when?
Good news for fans of this universe.
First of all, both the Flash and Arrow got renewed for a new season.
Second, there have been reports that Greg Berlanti, one of the men responsible for Arrow and the Flash, has it in his contract that Supergirl should be able to crossover with Arrow and Flash. Although Supergirl will be going to CBS, that company shares control of the CW with Time Warner, which means a crossover isn't as impossible as, say, Constantine and these other shows. Also take in mind that the same people will be working on Supergirl, from the executive producers to the casting director.
However, that's not all the expansion this universe will get.
Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim is developing an animated series based on the character of Vixen, a female African superhero. Read more about the character here. The catch? This animated series, which will be broadcast on the CW's online 'network', the Seed, will take place in the world of the Arrow and the Flash. Crossovers are to be expected.
Hey, did you like Brandon Routh's portrayal of Ray Palmer? Me too. Well, as it turns out, producers are in very early talks for an Atom spinoff. Personally, I think this is a great idea. The Atom could let them explore the more wacky scientific side of the DCverse. There are a lot of mad scientists and androids and aliens in that world, and a man that can shrink sounds like the way to go. Plus, the article mentions crossovers are going to probably become a yearly thing.
Also, there have been rumors that TNT's Teen Titans show, which will heavily feature Nightwing, might also be part of this verse. Why? TNT is a subsidiary of Time Warner. Which owns the CW.
Which is why I think we need to rename this thread to the DC Television Universe, similar to how Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter has one single thread.
The Flash for Season 2, fuck yes
I only realized now that the guy playing Ronnie is actually Amell's cousin, Robbie Amell.
Didn't even know his name so yeah...
Every piece of news that came out of todays conference made me hard. With the animated stuff it opens up so many possibilities, we could have almost anything since SFX won't be limited. Hell if live action Booster Gold and Blue Beetle are still in legal hell (fuck you Syfy/DC and whatever you did that stopped Routh being Ted as was intended) we could have an animated series which can take use of the fact Booster's a time traveller, since it's not like they'd be building new sets and moving locations. Ted could have the Bug and it wouldn't look really bad.
The only thing that could have made today perfect would have been an Atom suit reveal.

Here's the 2 pieces of promo art for it, in which Ollie for some reason has his old bow and looks really skinny and pale.

I think that as the DC CWverse gets bigger and crazier, Arrow might grow a goatee and stop being such a Batman wannabe
Started to watch Arrow and it's really cool so far, but Oliver is a Batman wannabe who protects people by killing those who hurt them. weird.
With the massive change in the forums, I really think we should rename this DC Television Universe, if only to direct anyone interested in the shows.
Or take the route the MCU thread seems to be taking and talk about the DC movies too.

As some who's recently started Arrow (praise Netflix), it's kind of hilarious how almost suspiciously similar Oliver's origin story is to Nolan's Batman movies.
The killing, I don't see what's really weird about it. He's Batman without the almost absurd amount of idealism, I can get behind that.
I can't wait for you guys to get to Season 2.
