I was happy to see the payoff at the end of the new arrow episode, I started to expect it but I was still happy none the less

since apparently colton said no more flipping :(((
I just finished watching Season 1 and 2 and I'm not sure if I want to continue watching season 3. I really like the story, especially on the island, but I'm not sure how many more "I'm leaving to protect you"/"I can't be with you because I care about you" I can take in addition to the massive amounts of supremely uninteresting romance subplots pulled out of thing air.
And the whole story about [sp]Slade[/sp] turning evil because [sp]Shado[/sp] was killed by evil scientist guy on the boat was so out of nowhere. How did [sp]Slade[/sp] go from "We're like brothers" to "death is not good enough for you" because he didn't sacrifice a girl he has known for many, many years? At first I thought it was the [sp]Miracuru, but then he is cured and still evil[/sp]

I'm in the same position - I just finished S2 and while the fighting and all the revelations and stuff was awesome, they need to STOP with romancing. I don't give a damn, I'm here for fighting, for evil plans on nuking Straling City or something, not about Oliver and others dating each someone and they say "I'm not the man you think I am, we can't be together bla bla bla". Take Flash for example - yes it has[sp]had[/sp] Iris West stuff going on(for a reason - comic-book-lore-wise Iris is Barry's wife) it isn't to the big extent as in Arrow. Doesn't help that this interpriation of Green Arrow is not the one from comics, but a Batman wannabe.
I don't know what is there in S3 or what's going to happen, but I'm still gonna watch it because I'm interested to see new villains come in play, to see Episode 9(because I know what happens, but not in details) and Episode 7(?) - the crossover of how Flash is going to help Arrow.

About the (S2 complete spoilers, just in case)[sp]Evil Slade - Mirakuru twisted his mind completely, and while cure has worked it didn't reverse the damage done to him when it comes to his feeling to Oliver, unlike Roy - probably because Roy only had Mirakuru for short period of time and the effect was reversible and, as LordCrypto said, Oliver is the only one he can blame for everything now.[/sp]

So, should I watch Flash then? I watched the first 20 minutes of the pilot and turned it off because his black friend girl pissed me off too much. Literally every single thing she said made me hate her more.
"LOL you care about science, get a girlfriend neeeerd"
And even though it is extremely obvious she doesn't care about him romantically I'm 100% sure there will be a romance subplot where she suddenly and for no reason is in ~love~ with him. Why can't they just start the show with him already having a girlfriend or being fine with being single and focus on him having fucking superpowers?
Every person creating a TV show should be required by law to watch Person of Interest to see how romance subplots are supposed to be handled: Have one every 2-3 seasons and actually drop hints from time to time that the characters are romantically interested in each other as build up instead of having 2-3 each episode out of nowhere.

Watch Flash alongside Arrow S3.
Because it's on the CW and as such they need to meet a dumb romance quota too appeal to the CWs main audience. One of the latest trailers didn't have Iris in it at all and there were loads of people freaking out that she wasn't in it. Don't worry, the superpowers are easily the big focus of the show with the romance being a side plot.

The main focus is Reverse Flash and how Barry evolves as a hero and The Flash. Iris is there cus she's in comics so they had to put her in but also made some twists to plot so there's another thing going on. That 'thing' is the name of the love interest of Iris and his potential but uncofirmed connection with the biggest threat - Reverse Flash himself. I tell you that - with every episode it will get better and better because Barry will get his speed and he will have more and more on him, and imo mid-season finale(EP9) was incredible and it has revealed that there's a lot more to come from this show.
The plot in The Flash seems to be more more mysterious on some characters and how writes have included in the series because there are, and will be, a lot of comic book characters with(and without) superpowers, so they didn't go completely The Dark Knight Returns(yes, the movie) way where they turned Venom-drug-powered Bane into just a muscular man with a breathing mask.

So far, the Flash is a much 'cleaner' superhero show. Romance is still part of it obviously, its the CW, but it's much more toned down and as of the most recent episode's ending it seems like it may be on pause for a while.
Anyway almost the entire show so far as just been superpower fun so ye its p good

It only gets better. Watching those pre-credits scenes and realizing I'd have to wait another week for more of it was an experience. Even Arrow doesn't get as tense as The Flash does during those scenes.

fucking mid-season finale got me stuck in thoughts for two weeks after it aired. Started to watch Arrow S3 and I liked how at the end of EP1 Barry comes in "I woke up, and I could use some advice.". It's nice to see that, because they air one after another(Flash on tuesday, Arrow on wednesday) and in EP1 of Flash Barry asks for advice from Oliver.

Harrison Wells is the biggest mystery of entire show.
Rumor has it that [sp]the Lazarus Pit will indeed play a significant role in S3 despite Oliver not being resurrected by one; it will have its own backstory and will be used at some point in the latter half of S3. Amell allegedly revealed this info to a fan recently at an Oregon convention. This all comes from a reddit post with only a few pictures as evidence so take it with a grain of salt. Crossing my fingers it is true however.[/sp]
[sp]SPEEDFORCE CONFIRMED[/sp]
[sp]SPEEDFORCE CONFIRMED[/sp]
[sp]I really hope they do more of Wells using it. I cant get enough of his secret Reverse Flash stuff[/sp]
It's weird, seeing them go all out with [sp]Wells being a speedster[/sp] like that, and hearing the theme again. At the same time, it's funny as fuck laughing at the people who thought that [sp]Barry's dad was Reverse Flash[/sp], because that's legitimately one of the stupidest things I've ever heard ever.
I enjoyed Pied Piper's performance.
btw Grodd confirmed for Ep13 - The Nuclear Man

what's with all the cables
Last nights episode was interesting.
Honestly, the show was much more interesting without [sp]the Arrow. I liked the Merlyn dilemma.[/sp]
I was just kind of watching Arrow out of Habit, but I'm really enjoying Flash, Gotham and Constantine. Some of Arrow is okay, I'm hoping for more crossovers with the Flash
