Everytime I go on Twitter I see hoards of #Olicity posts gushing over how they're perfect or whatever. Felicity has been written to appeal to those folks. Think about it; despite everything, she's still on positive terms with all the canon love interests for Oliver (They literally had Black Canary say that she wanted them to be together) and literally everything in the Arrowverse has been written to revolve around her. Despite, you know, killing tens of thousands of people because she couldn't redirect a nuke into the ocean (Which was clearly visible on that map on her computer) she's still gonna be forgiven for it and somehow is gonna be shoehorned in as the love interest again. Even when she majorly screws up everything always goes good for her in the end. Fucking Tumblr tards are ruining Arrow and turning it into "The Felicity Diaries".

Why is it whenever someone is evil on this show they have to do the stereotypical over acted egocentric narcissist voice? We know they're antagonists, you don't need to make them act like cartoon characters. I'm still walking for one of the metas to say " I'm feeling particularly Evil today". Only the main meta human antagonists have any motivation, the rest just do things for no apparent reason and put on that stupid voice.

And no matter how you would spin it, imo, she'll never be a good match for Oliver. Hence why I REALLY don't get why the show took that "Sladeish kind of love" turn. (Surprisingly enough, it was around that time that we figured out about it aswell!) Their "love" was never ever hinted at other than the times Felicity squirts herself at Oliver in the salmon rack, and other than that, all she ever did was the usual banter, advice & bitching she always did. His love for her is literaly "You patched me up when I broke into your Mini, you're a voice in my head, and you're a blond. That's it". Theres nothing else other than that. Meanwhile, you got Laurel. Do I even need to explain who Laurel is? Do I need to say it would be canon? Season 1 was all about getting back to her. All about showing he's not a fuck up anymore. She was blazing mad at him for the shit he pulled, but in the end, she still loved him. She always did. I really hope you're wrong, because her deathbed words and the episode after would just be turned into a huge kick in the teeth followed up by laughing in mockery, if Olicity kept on being a thing. And that would probably make me quit the show.

Oh goodie... a Felicity heavy episode... One thing I've noticed... The show does drama REALLY badly. It either does angsty teen drama between people, or invisible real personal drama. Like, Felicity literaly [sp]nuked a town[/sp] last episode, but despite that, everyone, including her, is seemingly peachy about it. I get that it wasn't the time to mourn, but jeez. Hate to compare it to Smallville again, but when Jimmy Olsen was killed by Doomsday, everyone was torn to bits on the inside. Almost the whole season 9 was built on top of that, or which ever season followed after. Meanwhile, we got Arrow with stuff like "Laurel died!" "Oh no!.... Now let's do whatever" and "Oh no, tens of thousands died!" "Oh that's ba--hey look, I got a coupon for ice cream!" At least [sp]Ruvee is dead[/sp]. All she did was literaly dick waving sans the dick, if you know what I mean. But worst of all, it really seems like they are gonna keep going with the Olicity shit, judging from what Curtis said... What a fucking let down...

Its The CW trademark, it always holds back their shows from going the extra mile. Like the The Flash is always better when its an episode without Iris. The 100 has turned into a fallout esque drama with some truly dark moments but still gotta have shoehorned romance subplots

Last episode for example, Barry basicaly just said "hey, sup, look maybe I wanna try this out" and she was just "k :)". Although thats REALLY simple and technical instead of being fluid and in a "oh damn, that just happened!" kind of way, at least it isn't in one's face. There isn't a single episode where its the main thing, or that cliche episode where the hero fails because the love affair shot him down and he/she can't concentrate... In the Arrow however, there are episodes where the action is fewer than the drama, and thats just horrible because its always the same hissy pissy shit. Forgot to mention, this episode has a pretty sick [sp]chasing scene[/sp]. Surprised that came out so entertaining and seemingly well done. When you go really fast it makes light shiny and metallic.

Also I totally want Curtis to replace Felicity as the team's tech guy.

The only episode where Flash has emotions overflowing is S1 episode 15 and season finale, and that's not the romance emotions either. Well, not finale at least. Episode 15 had some romance explode but obviously not for long.

They're everything that is wrong with the show. I just zone out when either of them talk about family bullshit. And that cute whimsycal tune that plays out when Curtis for example shows up gets on my nerves aswell, especially on the last episode. The timing was SO BAD with the thousands of deaths. And I love how thats just sweeped under the rug. My god what a colossal trainwreck.

I only just realized that Barry's Dad also played the Flash in the 90s show.

I feel lucky that I wasn't able to get into Arrow when everyone was raving about it back in Season 2, seems I've saved myself a lot of grief. Have been following Legends of Tomorrow however, hopefully tonight should be good! Have also decided to pick up Flash because Captain Cold and Heatwave. Five episodes in and loving it so far, significantly less angsty than Arrow (I mean it is a CW show so obviously it's still a bit angsty). Do I need to watch any of the Arrow crossovers for necessary storylines or am I cool sticking solely with Flash?

Season 3 also has a bit of sticky drama, but not even close to being the trainwreck that is season 4. It's still good, but the drama really just makes you want to zone out.
