DC Television Megathread - The House That The Arrow Built

I'm hoping Oliver reveals himself to be Arrow at the end of this season and fully embraces being a vigilante. The season so far has been hitting this fact hard that he needs to "go back to basics". Could be referring to the show as a whole and its move to season 7 - no more Mayor stuff. Quentin would probably make a good mayor anyway.
Ollie went public as the Green Arrow in the comics, didn't he? Would be a good way to tie things up a bit.
More like he was exposed. And something about being arrested for murdering a superman for complex, stupid reasons.
My only personal frame of reference is the old "Justice League Unlimited" cartoon and "Smallville", on both Oliver went public about being the Green Arrow so I assumed it happened in the comics as well.
yes go back to basics, allow Dragon to kill Felicity once and for all, and start the real League with E2 laurel as the actual Canary with real bonefied powers.
You need to relax with the constant felicity hate. We get it - you dislike her.
No you don't.
And good god, team flash is so dumb...
...which is Ironic considering they're a bunch of scientists and one of them has their own super brain cap thing.
Who now became dumber.
I really can't understand how they don't see obvious bait from Thinker poking around with his portals.
And I'm amazed at Thinker for knowing that nazi Laurel from another dimension would show up and muck things up. Loads of surveillance on Flash for that to work but suuure call it being handy with a hammer...
'Arrow' Star Paul Blackthorne to Exit After Season 6 | Hollywood..
Rip
Everyone leave, that's how shit it became
I don't blame them - six seasons of 22 episodes each is a long time for any actor.
lol guess who's gonna die

Woah. So I guess Fox doesn’t have the rights to her.
Since this has been ressurected
"Yeah we've stopped the Thinke-- OH NO WAIT HE SUDDENLY STOLE OUR SATELITE NOOO"
*everyone "suddenly" dumb*
Totally not rushed at all.
Well, they finally did it.
I'm honestly surprised though that
Diaz is gonna continue to be a threat into the next season.
Click on the eyeball
Thanks, updated my post.
It seems like a classic case of filming two endings in case the actor did or not not want to return next season. He could have easily just died there at Diaz's warehouse but they kept him alive for the hospital stuff in case the actor wanted to stay for another season, and the ending would differ based on whether or not he survived the procedure or not.
Have to say I'm excited for next season. They have a great baseline to jump off from. Hope they don't fuck it up (they probably will).
Weirdly enough, he's the less special of the bunch.
I wonder how Quentin dying is gonna affect Legends? Is Sarah gonna dwell on it or will the show keep it short but meaningful?
Ah, who am I kidding, it's the CW, they're experts at drawing things out longer then they need to.
I'm just wondering whats the next season of Arrow gonna look like.
Hopefully the not so new bad guy will take care of a few things once and for all and finally send Oliver on a real anti criminal crusade.
I always love those cringe-worthy CGI slow-mo flash shots like damn they're so bad and they need to stop
So, about Flash...I have a lot of questions about that finale...
Are they gonna explain the whole thing with Barry's "Beautiful Mind" phase after he came out of the speed force? The weird symbols? The fact that Wells started talking just like Barry did as he lost his intelligence and even started drawing the same symbols? The connection with Dawn Nora Allen? Also, since DeVoe (while in Dibney's body) absorbed all the powers of the other metas, does that mean Dibney has them, too? Also did "The Enlightening" affect Star City as well? Do the last episodes of the Flash take place after or before the finale of Arrow?
Also, last season, they established that there has to be a prisoner inside the speed force (Formerly Savitar) in order for it to function properly. I realize they got Barry out and replaced him with an orb or something that pretends to be him to stand in for him (Which is still weird to me), but then they later pulled that same orb out without any side effects. So, what gives? Why is the speed force suddenly okay that there's no longer a prisoner inside of it?
I think Flash Season 4 shares some parallels to Arrow's season 4; both had great villains but were lacking in a lot of other places.
Despite all that, Arrow imo is losing its super hero thing.
It sounds like its about a guy that instead of using a gun, uses a bow and tight clothing, but otherwise has nothing special about him whatsoever.
Oliver just doesn't feels like a super hero. Using the FBI to help him and then giving himself up, losing multiple times to a guy who's super power is acting tough, being the goddamn mayor and having a super regular and innocent child of a kid...
I dunno, this just feels so.... Family friendly or some shit. It's the equivalent of having the most badass character of all times, and having an episode completely about parenting. Boring parenting, not "son don't kill him!", just "now its time for bed, go brush your teeth, 9:30pm and lights out" kind of shit.
Not only that, everything is always the same. Neatly tied in the same fucking bow every damn time. Fight music, "wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" after tables turn in Arrow's favour, whimsical bulshit music for the tongue in cheek crap...
I might be too tired of the little things in this show.
Well, it's official: Gotham is getting one last hurrah. It's getting a final fifth season, and I must say, it saddens me a bit. Some of the wacky stuff made parts of the show hit-or-miss, but the characters were fantastic and it had great acting. Jeremiah and Nigma always shined onscreen, and since last season focused highly on them, I found it really fun to watch.
But at least, there's some good coming out of this:

I wonder who they'll cast to play it.
