Time for some more news about S3. Brandon Routh will be joining the show as Ray Palmer, aka The Atom. He will be new CEO of Queen Consolidated and he has some mysterious plans for the Applied Sciences Division.

Along with this news comes a rumor that Ra's al Ghul will in fact be appearing in S3. On Kevin Smith's podcast he said that they were casting for the role six months ago.

Also, is anyone else glad that we're getting a new Count Vertigo? The old one was really goofy.
The guy was really good in Fringe. But hammed it up and came across as a miscast camp 80's villain. But he's a good actor.
Oh man, things are getting good.
When I saw 'Ray Palmer' I imagined they were building, like, this bizarro Justice League with the less known members.

My sister and I [I]loved[/I] having a really camp villain in Arrow. And not only because of his mild-mannered Lincoln in Fringe. But I'm one of those people who say, "Do something weird with your show every once in a while. Break up the monotony."
I think it helps everything snap back a little so it an dig back in. If you keep the same tone for too long you'll dig too deep and fall into something you don't want.

I must have blinked, completely missed that.
It seems like Wildcat will be in a mentor/love relationship with Laurel this season. J.R. Ramirez has been cast as Ted Grant.

And now we wait to see who will play Ra's al Ghul.
So apparently Ray Palmer was introduced instead of Ted Kord because DC has other plans for him. On one hand this is pretty disappointing since I was pretty excited for some Blue Beetle loving in Arrow(avatar related) but hey at least there's something going on with him.

So The Flash has officially begun yesterday, and it's good. It's way stronger than Arrow S1 imo, they have a clear sense of direction. No bullshit teenage YOU LEFT OUR MOM TO DIE ON THE STREEEEET drama, at least not yet. I haven't seen the leaked pilot before, so I was taken by surprise.
Arrow today, can't wait. I hope the DC-CW universe grows, the further they go, the better it gets.
Yeah Flash seems like it's gonna have way less family drama than Arrow did in the first season. Fun pilot.
