[sp]I really liked Bob. Fucking sucked to see him get killed, I was on edge that entire episode because I was convinced it would happen, but he dodged death like 3 or 4 times, so I didn't know if the show was just messing with me. You don't just kill a Goonie, ffs. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]yea but at least he lasted as long as he did, as opposed to the earlier draft which had him dying in episode 3 to a possessed Will lol [/sp] source
I knew exactly why [sp]episode 7 was there when I was watching it and I fucking hated it all the same. Season was surprisingly good though, I wasn't expecting it to be able to live up to S1 but while not perfect, it hit the mark for me[/sp] Also about will, [sp]He is one tough motherfucker, they straight up cattle branded him and he takes it like a champ [/sp]
I have a feeling [sp]joyce is gonna be with hopper, its somewhat implied they feel for each other in season 2. If it does it just be cliche, and chances are bob will be forgotten.[/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]Even worse, when my friends and I were watching it, I missed Sean Astin's name in the credits and said it aloud, so I mistakenly accidentally spoiled him dying to my friends without knowing it.[/sp] [editline]1st November 2017[/editline]
I have a feeling [sp]joyce is gonna be with hopper, its somewhat implied they feel for each other in season 2. Really liked this season, Hop was great as usual [sp]Fuck the episode where El decides to go join the Splatterpunks tho. I know it had a point but they were so over the top goofy it really took me out of it. And then it just got boring. The little tease of Brenner still being alive was the only thing I wanted out of it.[/sp]

It didn't really have any bearing on the story at all, and I would have preferred it just be Eleven spending time with her mom and learning about her powers in a vacuum environment. It would also have more impact when we see her close the gate, since she doesn't know how powerful she can be. The Weenie Gang or whatever they're called were so cartoony and stupid, they felt like they belonged in someone's Suicide Squad fan fic, they had no purpose and were just there to appeal to youngins. They were incredibly one dimensional and felt so out of place[/sp]
[sp] Yeah watching the end of S2 it looks like it's more of a Zelda dark world sort of "worse version of our reality that's inherently tied to it" rather than a stricter alternate timeline thing like in, say, Fringe.[/sp]
Rewatching S1, when Dustin reads about the vale of darkness it says [sp] it's a dark reflection/echo of our world[/sp] so that seems right.
I was re-reading this thread and stumbled on post from last year with S2 eps names reveal Most of them got changed, and [sp] Lost Sister was originally Lost Brother [/sp]
[sp]season high: all things billy / season low: chicago edgelord gang[/sp]
good stuff, liked it a lot
[sp]season high: all things billy / season low: chicago edgelord gang[/sp]
[sp]Despite my love for Steve, even I have to admit that Billy was pretty great. When he walked out the car to fucking rock you like a hurricane with a goddamn mullet I knew we'd be in for something special[/sp]

I love how they made the boot hitting the ground really loud when he get's out of the car and shit, and then there's that glorious mullet. Steve's still the king though. [/sp]

this new season definitely had the spiderman 3/hotline miami 2 feel where there are way too many plotlines to follow and the screentime given to some of them is utterly confusing. but i did enjoy the last two episodes a lot
Oh my god the dialogue in episode 8 is gold, like, every single line is perfect
EP 8 Spoilers: [sp]I got some LOTR vibes here: https://i.imgur.com/X6BXI6K.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ccibYJc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CUr7AJd.png[/sp]
As a classic party of adventurers ought to look
just finished up season 2, and i enjoyed it more than the second season for the most part. there were still things that irked me such as (episode 6) [sp]them dragging out bob's death way too long[/sp] and (episode 7) [sp]episode 7 arguably being filler after that hell of a cliffhanger from episode 6[/sp] but that's just minor me. i don't really know how (characters) [sp]billy will contribute anything to future seasons other than an excuse to create conflict like this one and max is well, she's here i guess.[/sp] last thing ill harp on is (episode 9) [sp]whatever was implied at the very end when it shifted to the upside down and the mind flayer suddenly appeared. im not sure how they're going to validate that thing coming back seeing as they already closed the gate but, we'll see.[/sp] all complaints aside i thought this season was pretty great and other than that i really grew to love steve and hopper more this season.
[sp]So they've done Demogorgon and Mind Flayer, what's the next D&D monster they'll use?[/sp]
[sp]I was gonna say blink dog but that's basically what the Demogorgons are already[/sp]
I really liked [sp]Bob[/sp] I wish they didn't [sp]kill him off[/sp]
Just finished the season, I thought it was really good. [sp]RIP Mews...and Bob too I guess For whatever reason I didn't really mind episode 7 that much. I get the complaints, but I'm not really sure if cutting it into another episode would've worked. We're definitely gonna be seeing more of those guys in S3 so I think it was better to fully introduce them in an episode. That ending was pretty nice too. The shadow monster is still alive but it's nice to see all the characters get happy endings.[/sp] Waiting for season 3 is gonna be hard. I didn't have to wait long for 2 since I only just started watching the show during summer.
I wonder what the point [sp] of introducing 008 and her specific powers. Like, what can she do in the future that can contribute to ending whatever comes next? Or they're going to fuck it and never mention her again. [/Sp]
I wonder what the point [sp] of introducing 008 and her specific powers. Like, what can she do in the future that can contribute to ending whatever comes next? Or they're going to fuck it and never mention her again. [/Sp]
[sp]Stands to reason that, obviously, there's numbers 1-10. Clearly some haven't survived, others haven't gotten free, etc. etc. However, I do think there will be a dual climax of the returning Mind Flayer (who isn't dead, just locked out for now), and maybe even a returning experiment that "Worked". Clearly Dr. Brenner does have a way with children to an extent, manipulating them to his will and gradually turning them into perfect guinea pigs. Wouldn't be too out there story wise to have, say, #1 or something be a child that worked, is now an adult, and is to be used to go after the Hawkins gang. Or it'll just be 8 and her gang of ragtag misfit weenies and they save the day because rebelliousness or something[/sp]
I think [sp] 008 was quite stupid tbh. I could have sworn in season 1 they said that 011 was the only successful experiment, and that the 10 before her died/failed. It was just sloppy and lazy to have 008 come out of nowhere tbh, that whole episode was just terrible. You could actually skip it and not miss a thing. That's not the sign of a good episode. [/sp]

[/sp]
I felt the duffer bros [sp]are not good with the plot, once they try to add additional stuff in. Like, oh fuck, we need to have to fill in this series, quick, come up with something! They have a bad habit of killing a character and then totally ignoring it. Its not going to help in the long run[/sp]
I felt bad for Steve. Did I miss parts of the second season, did he even do anything that bad to deserve [sp]him and Nancy breaking up?[/sp]
[sp] Nancy just didn't love him and sorta forced herself to be with him because Jonathan wasn't emotionally available, she was lonely. Nancy is sort of a bad person. [/sp]
Man Beyond Stranger things is great, its nice to see the casts having a discussion Don't watch if you haven't finish, its all spoilers
