The 007 Thread - The Name's Bond, James Bond - Film, Television and Music

I like Brosnan, I think he really nailed the character in a new way. Unfortunately most of the films are pretty stupid. Good Bond, bad films. I honestly thought the more serious approach of Goldeneye was a little too much, I like them more silly. Then comes the "realism" fad and invades that ugly motherfucker Craig. Casino Royale was decent, but it didn't really feel like Bond at any time. Except the ending. That was boss. I like Daniel Craig because it shows Bond as a little more human than any of the other Bonds. It fits with the story arc they have going of him being a new agent. Old bonds were awesome(connery, Brosnan,) but I do enjoy Craig a lot and Casino Royale was very good.

The producers know that it cocks up the timeline in a huge way, like keeping Judi Dench as M but they thought she made the Bond films complete.

Imo Casino Royale and Solace are good movies, but they're not good as Bond movies.

My personal favorite Bond is Pierce Bronsan. He just seems like the perfect Bond to me, he has all the traits needed for one. On a side note, I don't like Daniel Craig. He just doesn't do it for me. There was also the portrait pictures left in the game if you looked through it with a Gameshark, but there hasn't really been any way to play as them without mods and I don't think anybody has really done it properly. It's one of my all time favorite game mysteries as to why it was taken out and if it was real (Which it was, Rare said.) Ok I will stop talking about the game and we can get back to the films.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service ftw. Awesome title sequence. Oh hey what about the old Casino Royale, the one with David Niven and Peter Sellers? Twas' awesome.

The best Bond for me is tied between Brosnan or Connery.

The nightfire game was awesome too. I spent so many hours with my brother on that game.

I liked Casino Royale, but I never really watched any of the other films, so I'm really not sure how Craig compares to the previous Bonds.

I agree with others who say Brosnan pulled it off the best. He just seems so perfect for the role, and Die Another Day was kickass.

New bond is badass but that is what makes him suck. 007 isn't supposed to be some hardass who runs in guns blazing, but a suave and composed agent who picks up the ladies and employs some epic gadgets. I really like Pierce Brosnan as bond. He fit the role quite perfectly and I didn't realize how well he did until Craig came around.

Not many understand this.

Not many understand this.[/QUOTE] The problem with Craig is that he makes it very hard to believe that he would turn into a Connery or Brosnan type character. He's got no suave, he's got no humor, he pretty much has no personality. For him to suddenly evolve into a debonair ladies man feels like a huge stretch. He could still be careless, but he could have at least had some shred of the Bond character in him.
