Did the same as me and got Goldfinger twice instead of GoldenEye :v:
Fucking gold, How does it work?! [editline]01:26PM[/editline]
Roger Moore... :sigh: Moonraker, despite how unrealistic and... silly it got was a pretty good watch. The spy who loved me was just brilliant, though.
And I liked Moonraker, cable cars, centrifuges and fights in museums, hell yes. And the Bondgirls surname was goodhead.
Fucking gold, How does it work?!
Thishh ishzz how. :smugdog:
Hmm, deciding on making my own Bond intro if anybody wants in? If anyone is good with 3d programs like Maya or Cinema 4D to create some things that happen (like the Blood Stone intro, with the flying diamonds) Also, if anyone could suggest some soundtracks that sound appropriate we could piece this together! with a bond title name too :)
I have a question: Casino Royale is set at the beginning of the Bond series, just after Bond has achieved 00 status. However, some of the other Bond films were set during the Cold War (e.g. You Only Live Twice) yet Casino Royale is set post-Cold War (quoting M: "God I miss the Cold War"). How does this work?
REBOOT. IE: Starting the series from scratch. How do people not get this? It makes all the previous bond films non-canon.

I'm getting serious On Her Majesty's Secret Service vibes from this.
Bloody hell forgot I made this thread :v: I'll update the images in the opening post soon.
imo craig is more on the vibes of connery if connery were more focused on action so basically let's all fight over bond ratings connery > craig > brosnan > dalton > lazenby > moore not counting peter sellers since that one is outside the series and i haven't seen it.
not counting peter sellers since that one is outside the series and i haven't seen it.
Every human must experience Casino Royale '67. And it's six directors.

I knew as soon as I clicked on this thread it would be a battle of who played the better Bond. I think the great thing about Bond is that he's been played by many different actors with many different styles, so it's all down to the viewer on who they find they can relate with/enjoy more. It's all just personal preference. Personally Daniel Craig is my fave, he feels like a realistic Bond, with demons and a darkside and emotionally switched off. Pierce was great but way too.... Feminine?? I just never got a bad ass vibe of him.
imo craig is more on the vibes of connery if connery were more focused on action.
I recall Barbara Broccoli saying how each Bond corresponds to his era's view on ideal man, according to man. So Connery is what 60s folks aspired to be, Brosnan is 90s, and Craig is imitating our ideal

Particularly now with Skyfall, Craig has given more depth to the character than any other performer before him. Part of this is writing of course, and frankly some of the writing on early bond films makes absolutely no sense (falls in love with a girl every film yet somehow has discarded them by the next with no mention, compare that to Craig bond, who only ever loved one woman and every other woman is just a disposable pleasure and it shows). And he plays bond how bond really would be: He's a ruthless psychopath. He gets more charming and less about using brute force to achieve his goals as he gets more experienced, but at his base hes still just a killer. I know it's not Bond but did anyone here see Kingsman? It's meant to be a early Bond/Alex Rider pastiche. I thought it was pretty good, middle was slow but the action scenes made it worth it. Colin Firth was fantastic as always and Sam Jackson seemed to not be phoning it in for the first time in a while.

It's surprising because he doesn't look like the typical henchman.

I like Roger Moore. Sean Connery > Roger Moore > Pierce Brosnan > Timothy Dalton > George Lazenby > Daniel Craig Everyone has the "Oh Craig is so much more like the books" argument but I think the movies became their own creature with Roger Moore. James Bond has always been the top spy kinda guy but Roger Moore made a really interesting one. Connery helped too. Their James Bond is one that can knock a guy out in one punch, who can drive a car like a pro, who can ski, snowboard and have an extroardinary level of general knowledge. Most of all he can shoot with deadly accuracy without even looking down the iron sights. That's how good he is. I think Pierce Brosnan was a great recreation of that with Goldeneye and then Die Another Day. That's the other aspect, the grand plots. A movie that doesn't take itself too seriously. Having said that Casino Royale was the perfect book-style movie. It's definitely one of the best bonds. After that I don't like Daniel Craig's bond at all. Mostly because he took Brosnan from me and from what I read apparently Brosnan wanted to do a full reboot based in the 50's and that would have been amazing. Top ten movies ready go: From Russia With Love > Goldeneye > Casino Royale > Live and Let Die > Goldfinger > A View To A Kill > Dr No > Die Another Day > License To Kill / The Living Daylights (they were both equally good I thought) > The Man With The Golden Gun

"Soon" isn't soon enough.
I like the Sean Connery turtle neck look. Simple, but effective.
I like the Sean Connery turtle neck look. Simple, but effective.
Except it's Roger Moore look:
Craig pulls it off much better, in my opinion.
He's wearing his watch on a Bond Nato strap whoa

On one hand, I'm not sure if it's a good direction to dwell into James Bond's personal past. But on the other it looks so fucking good in every aspect. And Christoph Waltz.
The only thing I think will be weird is that they dwelled a lot on the whole "Bond is too old for the job, he's not as effective as he was" thing in Skyfall, which would have made sense if it was the last Craig movie, so I dunno if they're going to keep going with it in this, or just handwave it.
