What's that in the second video at 0:17?
Its rumored that its [sp]Wolf, a pet of Lockdown.[/sp] Not sure what to think of it, as it looks biological and Cybertronian so we'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, [sp]Wolf is a bit of an oddball character. He might just end up like Ravage and get little explanation on who or what it is and get killed by Bee ti harken back to ROTF when he killed Ravage.[/sp] Plus 3 NEW TV SPOTS in a day?! Holy crap that's a lot more than what most movie promos do.
Also, did NOT even know that this was here. I got to stop staying in one part of the site. :v:

There's also a new trailer that was with Maleficent. Not online just yet though.
To me it looks more like what you'd expect a michael bay decepticon to look like(sans the blue n' red coloring), to be honest. that's actually one reason i'm really looking forward to porting the model from this new Dark Spark game coming out. A re-coloring of the new Optimus design to purple / dark blue / black flame colors would make for a really badass "Shattered Glass" version of Optimus.
A la something like this:
[t]http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/257/e/5/shattered_glass__optimus_prime_by_goddessmechanic-d45utae.jpg[/t]
I have been working off and on on converting the DoTM Optimus model to that right there, but now i'm just waiting to get my hands on the new AoE model to hack something much better looking together.
Why not just complete the Dotm one first before the new game comes out? As far as I know:
1. Rise of the Dark Spark is NOT made be High-Moon, but Edge of Reality. The file placements and engine can be different from Fall of Cybertron for all we know. Not to mention the game is going mutli-platform for PS4, PS3, Xbone(s), and PC, so expect some trouble.
2. The quality of the models seem to have taken a dive due to rush movie game development. The Cybertron characters seem stilted and the textures look completely washed out, and the movie characters look a bit too shiny:
[T]http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/7/0/1/2/3/028796_1398113780.jpg[/T]
3. The movie counterparts in-game look WAY too cartoon-ish even with their new looks. Optimus has it bad; his arms look like huge gorilla arms and he looks tiny hunched over. He might not have his weapon like does in the film. He might get these and look better from a different perspective, but I'm not holding my breath:
[T]http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--zNXSFSd3--/19fzep1dfa08hjpg.jpg[/T]
The only characters that I'm expecting to come out by anyone in this game are [sp]Lockdown, Stinger, and the Galvatron "drone"[/sp], all of which we have yet to see fully in film yet.
but really, when does optimus not have giant arms and a small head, along with looking tiny when not standing at full height?
but really, when does optimus not have giant arms and a small head, along with looking tiny when not standing at full height?
Literally a requirement.
It's that when you compare his game model from Dotm, his new film design, and Dark Spark's game model, the newer game looks just a bit out of proportion from his film counterpart and his previous movie game appearance. Plus the gun on him looks way too big for him.

Will the dinosaurs transform into robots? Like in the series
Will the dinosaurs transform into robots? Like in the series
If the movie toys mean anything, then yes they will. I think. Shockwave has a vehicle mode on his toy, but he didn't use it in Dark of the Moon.
Runtime confirmed: 2 hours and 30 minutes without credits. Damn.
I hope this isn't like DotM, where the whole movie was just dragging on and I thought it would never end.

To be fair though, DotM actually had a decent plot. It was just the amount of humans introduced, the stupid side plots and another love romance again was what killed it. There were a lot of cool things that happened with the actual Transformers--they went to the moon, revived Sentinel, humans working with Decepticons, and the last 30 minutes of invasion. But then there was the stupid Sam gets a job, Sam and Carly, Sam trying to be the "hero", etc. Also a ton of military involvement that took away more screen time of the actual Transformers.
Now if you look at AoE, the cast is vastly smaller, the interactions between eachother is minimal (father-daughter, daughter-boyfriend). And no military involvement at all. That leaves all the remaining time just for the Transformers.

It was mostly the city war part or basically the last hour and a half of the movie. Yet their mission is to get to one area when then this happens, this happens and this happens. That's how it was to me

In AoE get ready for father-boyfriend interactions in which the boyfriend will have to prove he's worthy of the daughter, human scientists messing with Transformer goo, father-family-scientists interactions and finally Mike Bay's military boner.

there were definitely PMCs in the trailers

it's armageddon all over again

Right, but I'm sure they're not reeling in tanks and jets like in ROTF.
Now that I think of it, ROTF had a LOT of military stuff.

trust me
if the transformers are rolling through cities (and they do)
there will be military intervention, it's just natural
especially if there are giant ships tearing shit up, as you see in the trailers.
also it's fucking michael bay, he has the worst case of "must show how much i have a hard on for the american military" when it comes to making films.

At least Hound isn't pissing oil on him, this is fine by me, and quite amusing.
i love hounds triple minigun
i love hounds triple minigun
Reminds me of the gun Psi imported when he was digging around in Dotm. It's really neat to use for some characters, even if the gun belongs to the generic goons from that game.
Speaking of the dotm game, we have a new video on the Rise of the Dark Spark. A featurette with none other than Optimus himself, Peter Cullen.

The video also reveals some new info:
The Dark Spark is [sp]the anti-Matrix that Megatron will use like Dark Energon to raise the dead and cast dark robot magic. Methinks that Unicron will show up at one point.[/sp]
Movie Prime still looks like he came out of Team Fortress 2. :v: He also doesn't seem to sport a faceplate like in his film counterpart does or his other game appearances. (sorry faceplate fans.)
[sp]Grimlock's ROBOT MODE! [/sp]
We finally get a good look at Lockdown in the game, and it appears that [sp] he has Dark Energon.[/sp]
I don't really pay too much attention to Transformers beyond the movies, but Rise of the Dark Spark does look pretty cool. Might have to keep an eye out for it.
