From what I heard they were supposed to be killed off in the third movie. I have no idea why they cut it. It's in the novelization, though.

In the third, Skids was also shot by Sentinel after Iron Hide. While disintegrating, Mudflap weeps and goes ham at Sentinel. Sentinel shoots him full of acid too, but ignoring the pain, Mudflap still keeps hitting.
Then dies.
That's what I remember from the novel.
At least they didn't call it Trans4mers.

and i already thought mark wahlberg was making some pretty bad movies
oh well, time for a shitload of "look heres the transformers riding through the desert YET AGAIN" scenes
I am EXTREMELY excited for this movie, I loved all the other movies and watch them constantly (well I actually only watch the awesome CGI scenes, it's really 90% of the reason I love it so much).
I hope that at least the new cast keeps the movie together well, though I don't care much as long as it doesn't kill the movie, all I want is CGI <33
I like to think of these movies as glorified TV show episodes, with amazing special effects and very long.

Good voice acting is mandatory in a big budget film, nothing to make a movie worth watching
I dont see anyyhing spectacular in the movies' sound effects
And id definitely enjoy the cgi more if the action scenes werent all horribly busy and the camera angles werent so terrible

Sound effects are amazing, if you don't think so then I don't think you saw the movies.
I enjoy the extremely busy action scenes, the camera angles are fine. Regardless, I don't think that "growing up watching Transformers" would change this, the characters are done justice, they are redesigned very well, are acted very well, and are animated very well. The human drama in the original series was never that great, and neither are these movies's, and that's why I like to call these movies "glorified tv episodes", and it's great.
Growing up watching Transformers you would realize that it was never about the humans.
It was always about giant robots kicking the shit out of each other, nobody gave two shits about the humans. Michael Bay just the wrong idea on how to handle the material.

Well it seems that the problem then is the overabundance of human drama, but there is still plenty of robot fighting, and those scenes at least are awesome.
