redid op. if possible, a mod could change thread name to Transformers 5: The Last Knight (2017)
How's this for the thread title: Transformers 5: The Last Knight- Michael Bay Strikes Back!
also i was thinking--those robot designs for hot rod and drift. the mercedes is black and red, which matches hot rod's robot mode colors. maybe the colors will actually be switched in the movie and hot rod will actually be red and orange
Don't think they will change that. I mean if Hot Rod's gonna get a darkish recolor for comics

It's more than likely that the design in the film is the one we're gonna get, but it's still too early to tell though.
Also, we got a reveal of Barricade's redesigned robot mode. I like it!

LMAO he has a baton
[editline]9th August 2016[/editline]
it's definitely wacky. but i dig it.
I'm actually starting to love that design.
We also got a look at Hound, who looks like he's gonna be the new medic:

Worst case scenario is that people will freak out about a evil alien robot that turns into a police car nearly a year and a half ago from the Baltimore riots and call for his removal from the film or have his scenes shortened. Though this will never happen as this is a Bay film and people will know that he's gonna be really hammy. I hope Keith David plays Barricade.
Now THAT is Megatron! And if my hunch is correct, by the looks of that body frame, [sp]he's gonna turn into a MOTHERFUCKING DRAGON! http://screencrush.com/442/files/2016/08/Transformers-poster.jpg?w=630&cdnnode=1 [/sp]
that's badass. that's what Megatron should've looked like before
"Megatron, what is best in life?"
"To crush the Autobots, see them cower before you, and hear the lamentations of the humans."
Nice vagina face. Seriously, I'm not really a TF fan why do Decepticons have to look like these weird, over-complex robots. Autobots are slightly better but they have all these hip paint-jobs.
What I'm trying to say, the movies are shit but it would help me care a bit more if the robots didn't look like scrap mashed together.
i hope frank welker is returning to voice megatron
furthermore, how are they gonna explain galvatron suddenly no longer being galvatron?
Well, Galvatron- if I recall correctly- was just the name Stanley Tucci's character gave their creation that Megatron hijacked (since it was meant to be modelled after Optimus). So, technically, Galvatron wouldn't be what he'd refer to himself as, since regaining control.

Looks weird.
With that chest I can only think of a hybrid between his various versions between the films.
thank god its just concept art cause its literally the tf3 bumblebee with a different chest, wings, and enlarged head
So some shooting in Scotland is on the horizon, and we've got some...surprising developments.

Either the cameraman accidentally wandered onto the set of Peter Jackson's "The Similion," or [sp]that mention of time travel to King Arthur's court in the leaked script is about to be true.[/sp]
Ooooohhh boy this is gonna be weird! http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/c/c5/Raiderrumblejoust.jpg
Another picture with some more info.
Another quiet week passed by but we were not completely kept in the dark this time. (More like we were kept in the Dark Ages, actually.) The biggest highlight from Transformers: The Last Knight production last week was the reveal of a Knight (at Isle of Skye), confirming another JoBlo leak. To make matters even more interesting, thanks to Buchanan Photos, we are given a closer look at what may possibly be Merlin’s Staff (the famous BBC One TV show called it The Sidhe Staff). Could his magic be Cybertronian technology?
While principal photography is being carried out in Europe, an old filming scene was revealed in an official manner. Filmed in Michigan, the scene involves Cade Yeager and William Lennox (Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhamel respectively) executing a stunt at a large body of water. Yes; the water is wet.
Did we mention a potential spoiler may have been leaked too? No? Take a look at your own risk. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
so there's actual knights, eh? this is gonna be odd. i was just hoping for optimus going to find the quintessons, unless that's how the movie starts, and he gets sent back in time.
so there's actual knights, eh? this is gonna be odd. i was just hoping for optimus going to find the quintessons, unless that's how the movie starts, and he gets sent back in time.
More and reports points that the Joblo synopsis leak might be what the final film that's in development is gonna turn out. My thoughts are that [sp]Hot Rod is the Last Knight because as everyone who has seen the 86' film knows that he's the one to replace Prime in the end. Methinks that he's gonna be a character who shows up in the middle of the film to take over as Prime leaves Earth to find the creators or goes back in time or both at the same time.[/sp]
All these plot elements and new characters makes me think that TF5 is gonna be another 2.5 hour long slog fest like TF4, or a nicely paced epic like The Two Towers, though I'm hoping that isn't the former.

Well, so far just about every movie has had something that pertains to the past and Transformers being involved in history. I doubt they're literally travelling back in time.
Wait, if the movie's gonna partially take place in Medieval Times how can they enhance the movie with Bud Light™?

By this point we're getting more info about the past than past TF films. We don't even know what's going on in the present other than the fact that Josh Duhamel is coming back, Onslaught joins the Decepticon cast, Megatron gets an upgrade, Hot Rod's coming, and Walhberg gets a sidekick. I think Bay wants us to expect some silly action moments set in medieval times than whatever's going on in the present.

Since some plot elements points towards the UK, methinks that we are gonna get some tea ads on red tour buses.
News on the film has been a bit slow aside from a few action pieces and stunt work we've seen a dozen times. More development on the "Dark Times" shoot from a UK magazine(?). Again, did we stumble onto a LOTR scene?
If anyone picked up Surrey Advertiser on Friday to do some light reading on the weekend, they’ll be treated to a little article summarizing the Transformers: The Last Knight Principal Photography which took place in Bourne Woods fortnight ago.
We’ve selected some interesting bits from the article for you to read:
“It was pretty brutal, to be fair,” an extra [who played a Saxon invader] said about the filming. “We had to go through hair and make-up first, which was pretty cool. They covered us in fake blood and made a mess of your hair, which I wasn’t too pleased about. There was a lot of charging up and down hills – it was really tiring. There were fake dead horses, heads on spikes, lots of fire and smoke, with lots of explosions and dirt falling everywhere.”
“Sometimes it was running down the hill then up the hill. At one point we were supposed to be running away from something and look scared. I was pretty scared anyway because there were horses charging past me and lots of huge, angry men. They were these great big guys and they would say ‘no, after you’ or ‘excuse me’. They were really polite.”
What’s so great about Michael Bay is his attention to detail:
“Costumes included ‘scary helmets’ chainmail. Mine was running I would quite quite fur, and plain really, I had a leather breastplate thing and a bit of fur running down my back and a chainmail mini dress, which was quite interesting. It was absolutely brilliant. It was a real drag coming back to work. It’s nowhere near as exciting.”
Finally, the extra added “I would love to do it all over again.”
The more I keep seeing these images, the more I think this is based off of the "Man of Iron" Transformers comic from the 80's.

Filming has wrapped up. Cast & crew have left and said their goodbyes. As of now there will be little-to-nil news on the film.

To wrap up this news segment before the teaser comes out this year, here's a podcast with some apparent scoop on TF5's story. @ 13:41 May be spoilers. http://weeklyplanetpod.libsyn.com/158-logan-trailer-for-the-logan-movie
Teaser coming soon ETA November or December!

So much for trying to spur discussions on how the film will turn out.
So here's an IMAX featurette with footage of TF5 on the 1:20 mark.

so there's [sp]medieval times and modern times. i guess optimus will do some time traveling, or there's just gonna be a split thing going on.[/sp]

My guess [sp]They're gonna switch back and forth. Optimus in medieval times, and Hot Rod and co. in our time. Looks like Marky Mark is in a three person band with Josh Duhamel's character since TF1 and Sir Anthony Hopkins with whatever role he's in. Please be Alpha Trion.[/sp]
Here is the site that states that The Last Knight will appear during the viewing of "Fantastic Beasts".

I goofed. It's confirmed that the official teaser will come out December 16 during the Star Wars: Rogue One showings. Get your sunglasses to stave off the orange tint from the explosions ready!

Scratch that, apparently we're gonna get the full trailer tomorrow.
Here's a teaser for the trailer. Why is there a teaser for a trailer we'll never know.

So I'm reading this article on what to expect for TF5, and well here are some notable parts; http://collider.com/transformers-5-what-we-know-so-far#mark-wahlberg
The film will explore the history of the “Primes.”

Mark Wahlberg’s character Cade Yeager starts the film on the run and said the film is “a man on the run adventure story.” The reason his daughter (who was played by Nicola Peltz in Transformers: Age of Extinction) is not in the film is she’s in hiding. Wahlberg said it’s “a nice departure from what we did before.”

Fans of the Dinobots should be excited to hear Grimlock is back and will have a much larger role in the film. Di Bonaventura says we’ll see more of his personality in The Last Knight. He revealed, “He’s funny. He’s like a naughty dog in this movie. He’s really sheepish when he does something wrong. He’s a great character. He’s really–we’re bringing out a side of him that you’re going to like–you’re going to relate to.”
Possible Spoilers!
[sp]
Santiago Cabrera plays a mercenary who’s out to get all the Transformers. He says, “I was a SEAL but I’ve retired and I’m on contract, I’ve been hired –The TRF (stands for the Transformers Response Force) has been formed to fight the Transformers, so my orders are I don’t care if they’re Autobots or Decepticons, we gotta stop this war. So I’m a team leader and I’ve come with my team to fight them and what I find and when I see Cade Yeager is harboring them he becomes the enemy basically.”
[/sp]
Get ready to see a submarine Transformer.

With all the properties trying to expand their movie universes, don’t look for Transformers to include M.A.S.K., Micronauts, or G.I. Joe.

Something I didn’t know about the military’s involvement in the Transformers movies is if the DOD offers their official stamp of approval, they have final say on the script if they’re involved in the movie. Bay revealed, “There was something that happened where an Autobot gets killed, and they go, ‘Nope. We will not participate.’ It’s by accident, but they go, ‘Nope, we won’t participate.’ So they’re very adamant. ‘We will not kill an Autobot.’ They go, ‘We cannot let kids see that this has happened.’ And I totally get it.”
How the fuck do I relate to a T-Rex?
