On that subject, I find that the plot of all the films makes much more sense if you just interpret Optimus Prime as an insane robot serial killer. I mean, [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxOQbimDsUg"]it's not unprecedented[/URL].
Speaking of the ride if any of you haven't ridden it go as soon as you can because it is awesome.
It's sad though because it would have been awesome to have TF and the Back to the Future Ride together in the same park. Two kick-ass simulators.

I'm trying to be as optimistic as possible for this movie, but Optimus looks so different. This is like the tier 2 model toy, so the actual robot version could possibly be better, but I don't even know anymore.

Well both. The leader class has a lot of kibble to make it "easier to transform" and "less complicated" cause apparently Hasbro wanted to cut down on costs. The rendered one you're talking about I'm assuming are the pictures I posted above, and the renders look like more of a almost-final build of the actual Optimus Prime, if that makes any sense.

At that point in time only the army had full knowledge of the robots. Now after the events in the 3rd movie people have found out about them and its the PUBLIC that doesn't want them and are making propaganda.
The public probably also have no knowledge of why they're on earth and that they are the ones protecting it.
How the fuck does having propaganda that would mostly likely happen in real life an attempt at making it more "deep".
