I seldom see the anime known as Parasyte being discussed, or even mentioned. This is baffling me. It was a rare case of subverting all of my high expectations, only to turn out even better than imagined.

Parasyte now need only be mentioned when someone wants an 11/10 adaptation
I haven't even finished Parasyte and I really hated the soundtrack.

fuck yes shield bro anime, even though theres a ton of boring parts, atleast i assume the anime will go to a point where he [sp]meets the queen[/sp] or whatever time to finish the cosplay with the fabrics that i bought x years ago
Well Aho Girl is... i wasn't expecting anything like that.
No you should skip it entirely, don't watch apocrypha, watch any other fantasy action show from the last ten years, it'll be more fun.
Oh don't worry I know Apocrypha is a train wreck haha I'll probably wait for the Netflix release.
Well Aho Girl is... i wasn't expecting anything like that.
i liked it
I haven't even finished Parasyte and I really hated the soundtrack.
It's not something I can listen to on its own, but I think it compliments the show well

wtf netflix why did you fuck up lwa
wtf netflix why did you fuck up lwa
how so, I watched that all with asenshi's subs so I wouldn't know what they did.
how so, I watched that all with asenshi's subs so I wouldn't know what they did.
i watched a few of the episodes released on netflix (there's 25 in the season but only released 13 for some reason? i mean, it is split into two arcs but still) and the official subtitles aren't the best either.
That Other World Restaurant one was a very good start. Didn't think I'd see another Dragon Waifu this season either, and a dark skinned one at that. Aho Girl was something, but it was hilarious, keeper. That new Chinese show was shit. Badly animated, drawn, and bad plot. Hell, there was an animation error with the dark haired chick's leggings. How do you miss that?
That Other World Restaurant one was a very good start.
I am very glad to see this animated.
fox spirit matchmaker gets better once it starts getting into the main plot. i think it had a satisfying ending actually i think the worst thing they did for this dub was change the catchy as fuck opening i very much enjoyed this one [editline]4th July 2017[/editline] they did change a few things though. episodes are longer and they added new scenes and rearranged some of the old ones. this ep covered the first 2 episodes of the chinese ona
I hope you liked the jokes in Aho Girl episode 1 because you're going to be hearing them on an endless loop for the rest of the series.
Fan translation TV shows and music programmes are important material when talking to friends at school, and her personal interests are watching travel programmes and documentaries, and at the same time, she would watch a quizshow at a fixed time every week. Official translation [Character name] watched a fair share of TV herself. Dramas and music shows gave her something to discuss with her school friends, although her personal preferences leaned toward travel and documentaries. There were one or two weekly quiz shows she never missed, too.
Damn, you're absolutely right. These fan translations, while I appreciate the effort, are just extremely jilted. The official one reads like a novel trying to engross you within a story and paint a picture. The fan translations read more like a textbook, a scientist recording the events of the story in a utilitarian manner in order to get the plot points across. I mean, I'm really into the story and really wanna know what happens next, but... I also kinda wanna enjoy reading it too. So I'm unsure if I should continue with the fan translations to get my fix, or just wait patiently for more official translations to come out so that I can continue to actually enjoy reading it. I might do both, continue with the fan translations and then revisit the official ones when they come around.
It was not expected that such a day would come. The troubling issues, until now, have not been solved. Considering her own standpoint, this can be completely considered neglecting of one’s duties, or the abandonment of one’s mission. Wrong, to be more accurate, from the beginning since that time, she kept setting aside the mission she should have finished while going through the days nonchalantly.
Like, this is just awkward. Side note, from the afterword of book 6:
I think that to a lot of people out there, coffee is an indispensable part of their daily work lives. I, Wagahara, am an ardent member of that group myself, and there’s always a mug at the ready at a corner of my desk as I focus on my work. That doesn’t mean, however, that I have any deep philosophy about my coffee, any “ This way or the highway!”–type requirements. My stance is that whether it’s instant, brewed, or from a can out of the vending machine, the best coffee in the world is the one in my hand right now. Still, whenever I come across some coffee that matches my preferences perfectly…well, that’s a rush I can never get enough of. The original inspiration for this story came from a cup of coffee exactly like that. I encountered it at a certain café I stopped by once, and it was so perfect to my palate, I almost instinctively quoted the worlds of French Revolution–era politician Charles Maurice de Talleyrand, who once described coffee as “black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love.” A pity I couldn’t have collaborated with Talleyrand on this book, in fact. We both seem to have preoccupations with demons and caffeine.
This is a man after my own heart.

It may just be me but whenever I rewatch/read something it never hits me as hard or leaves as much of an impression as the first time I consume it. I don't really want to miss out on the full experience or whatever of reading the series. Of course the biggest problem is that I read one of these books in about 2-3 hours tops and one of those every 3 months is sort of torture.

I've powered through 7 novels in just as many days. I think I'll give the fanlations a chance though. Just to get my fix.
Fun facts from trigger's panel involving LWA Lotte was originally gonna be a badass character rather than shy bookworm. [t]http://i.imgur.com/4jD9zck.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/ZLken3B.png[/t] And actual backstories for the side character witches, which might get inserted into the second season if it ever exists.: Amanda: [sp]Comes from a long family line of questionable or dirty fortune tellers who are forcing her to attend Luna Nova in order to become a fortune teller. This is why she acts like an aloof delinquent... she is actively TRYING to get kicked out of school in order to rebel against her parents.[/sp] Sucy: [sp]Abandoned by her parents in a basket along with only a single bottle of ruthlessly lethal poison. Supposedly all of Sucy's experiments with poison are actually her trying to discover the original formula to this poison and track down her parents. also they showed some concept art for an alternate backstory where instead of Sucy performing experiments on Akko... she herself was a horrific product of grotesque experiments... they even showed a nasty creature form of Sucy crawling across the ground. This is where her actual appearance is rooted from.[/sp] Yasuminka: [sp]Is constantly eating snacks and staying fat because she has the unfortunate burden of thousands of starved ukrainian/hungarian souls trapped within her body. She is always eating in order to satiate the spirits, if she stopped they would erupt from her body and terrorize humanity.[/sp] Constanze: [sp]Was diagnosed with a terminal disease at a young age, therefor transferred a piece of her soul (ala Voldemort) into her tiny robot companion. This caused her body to stop aging and left her in her tiny/young form, and also stripped her of her ability to speak![/sp]
Oh god for some reason they hired a very inexperienced VA as the lead female role in Nana Maru San Batsu. She sounds so out of place in the show and she doesn't even fit the character they're trying to potray. Why did they do this.

I disagree that characters need a reason for everything that they are, knowing the characters as face value is more than enough.

i mean it is trigger they can make anything dumb cool
