First season of Castlevania was pretty good. Some small and short mediocre scenes though. I'll look forward to season 2.
Crazy high expectations for made in abyss
more LWA news Every Background Character Witch now has a name, associated Nationality, and mini-backstory [t]http://i.imgur.com/aO91LnA.jpg[/t] Also, Akko x Andrew is pretty much a discarded relationship and Akko x Diana is whatever you want it to be since their relationship is "hard to define".
First ep of Made in Abyss was good I really like the artstyle
First ep of Made in Abyss was good I really like the artstyle
My one problem with the anime's art style is that I think they should have applied a filter to the lines/art like Mob Psycho, Tiger Mask W, G-Reco, or Occultic;Nine in order to match the soft pencil style of the manga, rather than the thin lines they've chosen for the anime.
My mom started watching LWA out of the blue
Went to AX for the first time this year, good fun, money spent, Asian food consumed. Saw plenty of cosplay, someone recognized mine, and I could even name a few. To stay relevant and to expand my horizons it was suggested I find an idol series. Any suggestions, ones to flat out avoid?
ones to flat out avoid?
all of them
Holy shit Kakegurui is ridiculous. Like, I can't think of anything else to describe it as. Also Saori Hayami was an unexpected choice for the main, but hot damn is she amazing at it.
Watch perfect blue
I'm not sure that's quite the idol he's going for. He should 100% watch it anyway.

I saw that design and personality and knew it'd be her doing that voice and that delivery. Most shows conform to the same tired "crazy/smug woman" delivery so it ends up being roughly the same with most voice actors.

Avoid Love Live like the plague. And Macross Triangle. Don't even try.
Macross triangle was stupid but fun.
I found every series of Love Live and Idolmaster enjoyable, although I dislike the prevalence of "the lengthy personal drama of the main heroine" in them.
idolmaster u get into for everything else besides the anime
I've spent quite a lot of time playing Starlight Stage on my phone, though that's as much as I can do with the hardware I currently own. And I must admit that there are many fun songs that didn't appear in the anime.

It feels quite weird with its emphasis on 3D models, but I like some of the new gameplay mechanics. I'll keep playing it for now as I hope to discover new fun songs.
Princess Principal ep1 was pretty good, not much backstory given but the steampunk setting is rather nice
I remember trying to watch Xenoglossia, never again
Xenoglossia wasn't as bad as I remembered but it ain't an idol show. Cindy Girls blows ass. [editline]10th July 2017[/editline]
idolmaster u get into for everything else besides the anime
You get into imas with the anime, then you play the games and slide CG/ML into the nearest bin
Xenoglossia wasn't as bad as I remembered but it ain't an idol show.
So that makes it the best idol show then. I want to know what exactly was going on at the board meetings to make a mecha show based on an idol series with none of the actual Idolmaster voice actors.
idolmaster u get into for everything else besides the anime
Get into Idolmaster to know what Miura is doing while he delays Berserk again.
Princess Principal ep1 was pretty good, not much backstory given but the steampunk setting is rather nice
It fell firmly into "would be a decently interesting premise if it wasn't centered around moe anime girls" territory for me. The ninja character did a flying piledriver into the camel's back as far as my ability to take the show seriously went.
So that makes it the best idol show then.
Nah that's Komugi-chan Magikarte
I want to know what exactly was going on at the board meetings to make a mecha show based on an idol series with none of the actual Idolmaster voice actors.
Presumably someone wanted a Sunrise show but didn't want them to do actual Idolmaster. There's also the fact First Vision was a bit... dry on the whole usable story element.
Action Heroine Cheer Fruits was actually pretty damn good, and I'm hoping it'll keep its momentum. Not sure how much you'd enjoy it unless you already care about tokusatsu and stage shows though.
