I drew in Splatoon 2. Not enough weeb drawings in the game.
Hey uhh, is there someone here who reads The Gamer manga (or manhwa?) and also remembers that one other manga with a very similar premise (it was mentioned in the TL notes of some The Gamer chapters)? I can't recall its name for the life of me, and I just figured I might as well give it a read as well.
I know exactly what you're talking about and after some looking around, it's called Life Howling.
Also, is the constant stream of hentai artists getting serialized becoming more common since Shokugeki no Soma? I saw this manga pop up and knew it was a hentai artist by the details of cloth folding on itself.
It was this manga by the way https://bato.to/comic/_/comics/dennou-kakugi-mephisto-waltz-r21905
I watched the first two episodes of Kakegurui, and holy hell, it's so bad. It manages to be dumber than Yu-Gi-Oh.

Hey hey hey, don't be so rude to such a good show.
Yugioh isn't that dumb.
Finally got around to watching more Jojo, then I got into Lupin the Third a bit, but I spent the last week just binge watching My Hero Academia, I didn't think I'd like that as much as I did

From AOTS to AOTY. Best possible development.
As someone relatively new to the whole gundam series, what makes gundams so special over other models? Like I'm watching Iron Blooded Orphans right now and the only difference I can see is that they have two reactors, are obviously low production yield prototypes(72 total if I remember right? So most likely made of higher quality materials) and they require highly invasive spinal surgery unless refitted, but even then 300 years of progress between that and the mass produced Graze model should put the Graze ahead quite a bit even if they stopped using the spinal spike things.

it's only a name
Watch Victory Gundam where they're literally only special because of the name Gundam, the resistance is using the name as propaganda due to the fame of the original model.
Also never underestimate the power of a super prototype from the previous era, it'll always be better.

Gay must mean lazy in Japan.

it's actually funny you mention yu-gi-oh, kakegurui's general vibe reminds me of way, way, way back in the day where the shadow games were actually life or death high stakes games
Gay must mean lazy in Japan.
It's not that she's lazy, you're judging her on the basis of conventional physics when lesbian physics work slightly differently.
i haven't kept up with the kakegurui anime but i've read the manga and i imagine the main issue people have with it is the fact that the mc is mary sue levels good at gambling, to the point where even when she loses you feels like she ten steps ahead of everyone.
reminds me a lot of sora of NGNL in that regard. it's normal to expect that the MC is going to prevail eventually because no one wants to see a perpetual loser MC. but they are so good at what they do the tension is removed in it's entirety and you never really feel like they lose even when they lose as weird as it sounds. there's always gonna be some 4d chess bs behind everything they do and i'm sure some people quickly get tired of that.
if you like broken MCs humbling/destroying smug dickheads at games then these shows are for you, but i'd be more wary of recommending them if you like seeing some flaws in your MC.
if you want a great gambling/game based manga/anime i recommend kaiji, it's very much high stakes and the story never makes you feel like the MC is in another dimension compared to the rest of cast.

It's a per-series basis sort of thing. In Iron Blooded Orphans, the Gundams were high-spec units that were above pretty much everything else thanks to their designs, and this is a recurring factor throughout the series until season 2 kicks into gear. In the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the RX-78-2 Gundam itself was the Earth Federation's top-of-the-line secret project to fight the Zeon who had Mobile Suits where the Federation didn't. Depending on the series, Gundams vary in importance, from being one-of-a-kind, to everyone having them. Such as G-Gundam, where literally every combatant is a Gundam Fighter and have national-themed Gundams for tournament battling, or Gundam Wing, where a handful are made to essentially be superweapons strong enough to stand up against all factions on Earth in an attempt to stop all conflict while certain antagonists try to copy and recreate them even.
If a hero has a Gundam, then they're important to the main cast or at least notable (unless it's a female pilot, they tend to get sidelined more often than not unfortunately). If a villain has a Gundam, they're gonna have a big fight and may or may not die horribly, and are probably a central rival or antagonist. And in the Universal Century (the main continuity), it really jumps back and forth between being a notable distinction for the star Mobile Suit that's going to wreck shit, and being a general title used for the sake of striking fear into the hearts of their enemies as technology levels reach the point of even Gundams theoretically being able to get one-shot despite how powerful some can get.
I think I realized what is throwing me off about The Reflection (besides the animation). It's the damn sound design.
To clarify, sounds that should sound powerful and loud just aren't (e.g. impacts, laser beams, fire). Everything sounds drab and dull which leads me to look at the art style more and criticize it even more. Granted the 2nd episode was a hell of a lot better animation wise than the first episode only because there was less action.

I suppose this was only to be expected considering how huge Persona 5 was. Hopefully A-1 doesn't screw it up.
A-1's production quality for the past few season have been good, it probably won't be too bad.
p5 anime won't live up to the game and it will be a pain to deal with people who watched the anime instead of playing the game assuming the anime just retells the events of the game
anything good this season

Welcome to the Ballroom is super iffy because of the giraffe thing and it's seemingly a anime-only problem because the manga doesnt have them (i dont really read garbage manga anymore tho)
